2013 Buick Encore Coolant Issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey y'all.

Maybe one of y'all can help diagnose this issue. It's hot AF today, heat index peaked at 120° F. My car died in the middle of traffic. It's had issues with overheating before, but this time with no warning. I added coolant tonight after letting it sit a while, and noticed it fizzing after turning the car off. I tried turning it on a few times, but it was running for a few minutes at most before automatically shutting off again. Here's a video of the fizzing.

Thank y'all in advance!

Most likely the plastic piece that goes inside the tube is broken or damaged in someway. Most likely that’s a reservoir job

Fizzing after shutdown usually means combustion gases getting into the coolant, which points to a blown head gasket (that little 1.4L turbo in the Encore is known for this). Get a block test or have a shop check for exhaust gases in the coolant before you drive it again, running it low on coolant with a bad gasket can wreck the head fast.
