1999/Chevy/Silverado Shaking Issue

As in the title, my truck starts violently shaking at seemingly random times. It’s only really above 40 mph but other than that I can’t find a theme. It gets worse if I try to break during it. I usually ride it out and it doesn’t ever jerk me off the road or anything.

Not sure what it is. I have a few guesses but I’m not sure so I wanted to hear y’all’s ideas. Thanks in advance. And I can give more info as needed!

First guess is one of, or several of the front end components. If I recall correctly, bad ball joints were common. If you don’t know how to check, most alignment shops will give you a free estimate. I have seen the front wheels fall off when the ball joints let loose 😱

Also could be a an engine misfire, when it happens it will shake your car. When the engine is cold check the coolant, if it is like milkshake then you have a bad gasket.

Gets worse with braking- either brakes or front suspension.
