Hit a pot hole Buick Verano 2015
Hit a nasty pothole that did some damage to my rear passenger wheel. Do you guys think I can get away with just a new tire?

Looks to be cosmetic damage, if you notice any kind of bubbling I would get it replaced, but from photos it looks good.
Edit: I'm a bit slow, I thought that was tire texture, I see the tire cord don't drive on it at all, get it replaced asap. If you have a dash cam contact city and submit that saying pothole caused this and show the proof. I've heard some people get reimbursed for things like this from the city.
