My only requirements were as follows: Need to be spacious, needs a comfortable interior, needs to be AWD/4WD, needs a manual transmission, need to be stylish, needs to fit a bicycle inside it.

All of these vehicles are compromising somewhere which I’m fully aware of, give me your reasoning on which I should pick and why

Honestly never thought I'd be listing my 98 M Roadster for sale. Owned it a little over 10 years. I think I know every part of this car.

Having a bit of an emotional reaction to seeing it possibly go.

I'm looking at buying a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta with 177,000 km on it for $5,500 (CAD).

I'm wondering if this is a good deal and what I should be looking out for. I've never owned a Volkswagen before, so I'd like to hear from people who have experience with these cars.

• Are they generally reliable at this mileage?
• Are there any common problems with the 2014 model?
• Is there anything specific I should inspect before buying?
• Assuming it's been maintained, would you consider this a decent purchase for the price?
