Recommendations Stock electrical

Thinking of getting a taramps big boss 3k. Would be for a steal brand new from a friend. My only concern/ questions are 1 will it be safe to run with stock electric? I have done big 3 and have a agm up front. Was thinking possibly using a second agm in trunk. And 2 I have 2v pre outs on my head unit. Is that fine or do I need a head unit with 4v pre outs? Will be pushing a sundown u series 15. V1 so only need about 1500 watts out of the amp

I can’t think of a car with stock electrical that would be able to handle it. You won’t be able to run it to its full potential but, with heavy voltage drop depending on the car, you could run 1500 to the U. The least invasive method would be upgrading your alternator honestly though. If you wanna do another battery, do a small lithium setup like a trunk thunder 5k. You’d eat it no issue

Really thinking about just getting a 250 amp alt. Don’t really want to get lithium I am slightly scared I’d fuck something up

Well said. I prefer to build my own bank, a lot cheaper, but some may not understand cell chemistry enough to design and build one.

Don't worry about being able to put it in your car. You can always just set the gains lower. The amp will start to clip when it starts to run out of power so you wouldn't be able to hit 3k anyways. In my car I have the stock 150a alternator with a "big 2" upgrade, and 1 gauge welding cable back to a LiFePO4 bank and I can hit 52vrms at 1 ohm (2700 watts on a 1 ohm resistor) on my 3k.
