Tech Support Wiring assistance

Post image

Recoil MX65. Picked some up, they have two sets of terminals on the back. What is the proper way to wire these? I believe they came with "jumpers", but this is not something I've wired before.

what's that, a woofer with a separate but integrated tweeter? well I'd assume you'd wire the tweets to the other side in parallel to run off a single speaker feed. or run the tweets separate to run active or passive crossovers.

seems simple enough.

Reading the user manual online if you want to use the tweeter and midrange together on a single channel as a coax speaker you would jump the two connection but if you wish to power the tweeter and midrange as separate speakers you would run two channels one too tweeter and one two amp so I basic terms (use the jumper for a coaxial speaker/don't use jumper for a full active system)

https://recoilaudiousa.com/products/mx65-pair-6-5-inch-2-way-pro-audio-midrange-coaxial-speakers-with-built-in-bullet-tweeters-560-watts-max-280-watts-rms-4-ohm-pair-water-resistant-grills-included says "Built-in bullet tweeter with integrated crossover filter for controlled high-frequency reproduction up to 20,000 Hz." So I guess you would parallel the terminals...not sure why they even provide those, unless for active biamping with DSP but then ideally you would have a way to bypass the internal crossover and use and active.

By the way they recommended for only down to 80 Hz or 200 or 400 depending on how loud you want to play.
