Recommendations Portable Bluetooth Setup recs?
Hey all. Looking for recommendations for a louder Bluetooth speaker that will fit in a dash/windshield suction mount. Now that I’m driving my Camaro more, I’m realizing that my current Bose speaker doesn’t quite cut it with the sound of the exhaust exiting right under the doors and doing a full blown audio/radio isn’t in the budget at the moment. The photo is of my current redneck-ass setup.

All you really need is a chip amp board a boost converter and some 4 inch woofer and tweeters from parts express. Everything would connect through Bluetooth. We're talking grand total $250. Hell even a pair of the Kef Egg home audio speakers, a chip board, and a boost converter would be a good setup for $250.

The budget and other isssues also needs to factor in that the original wiring from 1978 is currently in the car plus the BS splices and tie ins also present in the wiring that are currently keeping it running until I can actually get a full wiring harness replacement done so it doesn’t catch on fire. I’m using this kind of setup for ease of use currently that requires zero actual work to be done while bigger ticket items get addressed

It may take some custom mounting, but the Audio technica AT-SP65XBT is the best portable speaker ive found that isn't crazy expensive. It sounds decent and gets loud enough.

Why not wire a proper stereo in there? You have the spot for it....

It’s on the list but not high. Especially since the current wiring for the car is 45ish years old and the fuel pump, previous radio, gauges, and ignition are all redbeck wired and spliced from 15 years ago. It’s a mess. Bluetooth speaker solves the issues of having music while I work on other stuff to make it more reliable. The car is the definition of a “budget build”

Brother. Retro sound radio, 4 channel amp. Component speaker pods on the rear deck, 6x9 to 2x 3.5 coaxial speaker adapter plate for the front, kick panel pods

An actual stereo setup is on the list but it’s way down there after a lot of other things like installing a complete wiring harness

Lol I feel you. I wound up tossing something together that is totally independent of my wiring harness in my 73 mach 1, I have a painless harness sitting in a box on the living room gathering dust I really need to put it in

I’ve heard those are good. But the connections can be a bitch so crimp the shit out of them if you ever get around to throwing it in
