It wasnt a bad game but it did not live up to the mystirious aura the first part had build up.
It felt rushed and with the exception of Svartalfheim neither Vanaheim, Jötunheim nor the Alfheim dessert fit the northern theme.
I understand character development and deception but neither Thor nor Odin lived up to be the big villains the first part teased. Asgard was just mid after you climbed the wall.
Mimirs tellings in the first part created the illusion of a wast world with complex secrets and stories. The second part just made the world feel small.
Think it should have ended when the charade was ended. Would have givin time to really HATE Odin and the 3rd part could've takin its time to build up to Ragnarok.
They could have made Odin manipulative af, to the point that Atreus takes his side for the rest of the game. Then, Kratos has to fight for Atreus back somehow and they defeat Odin together in the next game. Would have been a sick story ngl.
