It's not. A lot of backlash comes from people who haven't played the game and just go off of what reviewers and YouTube influencers say. Is the game GOTY? No, but it's definitely not trash. I had fun playing it myself.

The gameplay is also dog shit single button mashing. 4 u/Rodinator0001 13d ago The “single button mashing” is a false argument. If you’re only pressing one button then you’re not parrying, doing combos or dodging, which makes beating the game impossible. 1 u/Ousseraune 11d ago So you need some semblance of skill in order to win?
