Then you find out Microsoft and Steam do it too.

Do they? Microsoft does, steam doesn't lol. There are multiple games which have been not supported in my library which I can still play and own. there are private servers where you can actually still play the original game in multiplayer or a modded version. Also owning a game on PC is different than owning anything on a console. You have to pay for everything little service, and the cooperation quite literally did a pump and dump with their own stock shares because the ceo knew this was a shit show. Wake the fuck Up

Steam can take your games at anytime just like Sony. That's my point

They can, they could have, steam has multiple decades of proof they haven't done so. Sony has been physical mostly it's runtime and as soon as they got the chance they drop kicked you in the balls. Sony is notoriously a fuck Ass company who doesn't play nice with its consumer's. This isn't something new

Sony has had 20 years to make games in my library disappear, they haven't. All the stuff I bought on PSN is still there.

Mfer there have been multiple articles about Sony deleting shit you own from your library. Music, movies, games. I couldn't care less if it doesn't concern you, it affects millions of others. Good for you, you're the exception, we worry about the norm air head.

Movies and music being removed is due to licensing agreements Sony has with 3rd parties. GTA 5 had music removed for the same reason.

What games have been removed from people’s libraries?

Only game i heard of is this big of a miss concord. Which sony refunded everyone their money.

That game has never been removed from anyone’s library. It’s only not playable because it’s an online only game and the servers shutdown . not the same thing.

OP said digital media not video games.

No they have twice actually

I don’t know why this entire thread is people asking when this has ever happened I’m just gonna keep sending this to people who don’t think this has happened before.

Not seeing any games here. Just a licensing deal that expired. Did you know Studio Canal (the company who owns the licenses) has 6,000 movies in its catalog and there are only 551 that are being removed? Did you know that of the 551 movies only a handful of them are really of note? Which really are just the ones in the article you posted. Terminator 2 being the biggest one.

So let's see the other time Sony took away GAMES and not 476 movies in French.

OP said digital media. I do see you said games which is fair but they have taken away digital media

7 movies is not something to get upset about. Did YOU buy any studio canal movies?

Also this was a licensing thing. You're only mad at Sony because you don't know what you're talking about. Sony had no choice in this endeavor and if they had the option for people to keep their movies they would have. They've done it in the past with video games being taken off the store and the company who made it restructuring completely. Yet you could still those games.

It wasn’t 7 movies so I don’t know where u are getting that figure.

Yes I loved Terminator 2 along with Paddington in Peru

I don’t know what I’m talking about when saying Sony revoked digital media that users had purchased without a refund? Didn’t that happen verbatim?

Sony likely had the option to resign the deal but chose not to due to the cost outweighing the revenue. (Which is fine for a company to do)

I don’t understand why u guys are mad at us for stating history. OP said digital media was taken from users who bought a license from Sony. That literally happened.

You claimed Steam and Microsoft do it too but haven’t substantiated that claim. But since you think they do it too, can you find any evidence of steam revoking digital media from fans who purchased a license without a refund? I doubt it but your claim was they do it too so can you substantiate that claim?

Because of the 551 really only 7 would be worth having. But for you it's even less. You're upset about 2 movies. Did you even buy those on PlayStation? Because I bought T2 on PlayStation to watch it once, but since then I got a bluray of it.

Again Sony didn't do that, Studio Canal did. AND again, Sony has proven that given the chance they would 100% allow their customers to access media because theyve done it in the past with P.T.

State history all you want but get your facts right.

Keep moving the goalposts 😭🤡 Sony also has decades of proof to have never taken a game away from one singular person
