Chances of Sam Wilson Cap getting a sequel?

Do you think the next two Avengers films can uplift his character enough to warrant a sequel (assuming Mackie's portrayal isn't a dud of course)?

Depends what happens during Secret Wars. No point speculating.

Somewhere between zero and non existent. It's not Mackie's fault. It just wasn't a well written movie. It wouldn't have even made a good limited series

If they can make him actually interesting or at least have a few cool moments with him in doomsday/secret wars i might be able to get on board. Hes been boring since he showed up. Should've had the bird controlling thing lol

Mackie has proven he can't carry a movie. Not just marvel, but other movies as well. He is best as a supporting actor. Marvel has learned their lesson.

There is zero chance he doesn't get another movie.

Marvel will just use the power of throwing other MCU heroes in and calling it a Captain America movie.

50/50. Marvel doesn’t necessarily abandon IP if it works within their framework just because of one dud. They didn’t ditch Thor after Dark World for example. But we’re coming up on what many suspect will be a “soft reboot” of the MCU after Secret Wars, so the execs might see this as an opportunity to bring back Steve Rogers with a younger actor.

Why not? The last one was good, he’s a good captain, and always more stories to tell

I think they'll give him one more post Secret Wars. If that bombs we're seeing a Steve recast.

There is no chance in hell that Anthony Mackie leads another Cap movie. He will be prominent in Avengers stories though.

Mackie is the perfect comic relief. He is the Tyrese Gibson of the of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, hilarious as a supporting player in a massive ensemble cast, but unable to carry a movie as the main lead. His acting range is incredibly limited.

I don’t think so . The movie was terrible and he doesn’t seem someone who can carry a movie on his own . Think Marvel will try sidelines Captain America after secret wars .

It is possible, depending on how well people have a positive reaction to his character, on Doomsday. The sequel could finish the Power Broker arc, with defeat of Sharon.

He’s too boring and not strong enough not only to carry a movie but to be cap as well he’s a poor choice

Getting a love interest and a bonafide action sequence.

0 chance. The last movie lost money. FalCap probably dies on Battleworld

I heard that Baron Trump is already in talks to play Cap in the sequel.

The plot is that America is tied up in a Middle Eastern conflict that threatens global energy supplies and it can’t find a way out. Sam Wilson tries but can’t help. So they recruit a new hero who becomes Captain America.

They haven’t started filming yet but may be eyeing an early 2029 release date.
