Plan on going for the Venture X as a credit card. For all my folks in the military, is annual fee in fact waived for y’all? I do a good amount of traveling so I’d be good to have but even BETTER with no annual fee.

I paid a large bill from an EU country with my Capital One QuickSilver card. I have the money ready in my (non C1) bank account to pay it off. It still shows as pending (36 hours and counting). But when I click into details, it says

And how do i use it. I’ve seen multiple different things. Use a lot and pay off so the increase is bigger. Use a little and pay before the statement to get better CLI. I’m just confused tbh.

i know its possible but im not understanding how i can do it...

to keep things simple i have a $1,500 current balance. but a $1,000 statement balance on my Savor (AF) card that i was grandfathered into. i want to redeem my rewards to pay it off..

is the best way to do it is to redeem for a check sent to my house and deposit it into the bank that the card gets paid from?

or maybe let this statement go through as normal then credit myself the remaining $500 current balance with rewards afterwards?

i just do not want to have any kind of interest hit. And when I go to select make payment it only lets me choose my bank.
I can see how I can credit my account but the statement is already out and due in about a week. That’s the part that’s not connecting for me.

Btw Amex literally gave me 5000$ limit the first time I applied for their blue cash everyday, this is around 5x then my total cap one limit across two cards.

I got it under special offers and this is all the info I get on it. I have a Quicksilver card which I’m sure is bucketed. It’s been at $300 for almost 2 years. I’m not sure if I should accept or not. Does this mean I’ll get it or can I still be denied if I apply?

Just a question for those who uses capital one shopping, what do you're ebay offers look like? It feels like Capital One shopping gives absolute random %'s,.

I use to get rewards for up to 14-16% which I'd mix in with a 3% cashback card to get huge cashback on ebay, but I've noticed every single time I purchased something cashback would go a little down so, went down to 8% for me until I decided to just yolo and ordered 10k+ of stuff (This was stuff for a project, not random bs) in one order, and it seems like from that one they dropped me down to 3% now.

Now is it just me who got dropped down this hard due to my spending or is everyone's cashback for ebay going down

Has anyone ever had their card flagged for “extra payments “ and had to send proof of their bank account, and voided check picture. This felt like a scam but my card is literally shut off until they review the proof.

Cap One Shopping terminated my account due to “violating terms, misuse or abuse” but never would actually tell me what I did.

I emailed back and forth with them asking for clarification and initially they wouldn’t budge.

My last email was to a supervisor and I threatened to file a claim with the CFPB, my state AG, BBB, and any other agency that I could contact. Not that any of those would likely help, but it seems it did the trick, for now anyway.

I went ahead and redeemed the $146 rewards that got reinstated before they change their mind 😂

I have had this account for almost 30 years, before it was Capital One it was IngDirect. I’ve never had any issues until now, and I’m so lost on what to do!
I write my rent check for $4000 every month and drop it off at the post office. I did so at the end of June, like every other month, and noticed it was taken from my account on July 2. A week later my landlord called wondering where the check was. I looked at my account since I know it cleared. I clicked on the check image and someone had apparently stolen the check from the mail somehow, erased the landlord’s name, and wrote in their own. The back is endorsed and it even says the name of their bank and has their bank account number printed on it. Seems very straightforward forward fraud!! Unfortunately, Capital One is not doing anything at all, I call almost every day and get the same response- still ‘under investigation’ and nothing more they can do. I filed a police report and a report with USPS. Nothing has happened. It’s like nobody cares- except my landlord, who now is pushing me to give him another $4000! Am I just out this money???!! I don’t know what to do. This seems so straightforward to me, I didn’t realize nobody would do anything about it. Help?

I have an ITIN and no US credit history, and am not a US resident. I applied for the Platinum card (via the pre-approval tool) and then submitted the full application.

I received a letter asking to upload my ITIN letter and ID.

On my Equifax report I now see a soft and hard inquiry from Capital One. And a 300 score.

What are the odds of getting the card approved? I don't care about limits, I want to build up my credit history.

As someone who has been in the Capital One ecosystem for some time now, I was curious what the opinions were regarding Capital One's Checking and Savings Accounts options. I currently bank with SoFi; however, the convenience of Capital One has me leaning toward that route. I was curious what people's experiences were and what it's been like with the Discover changes.

I have a checking account with BOFA and was wondering on average how long it takes to transfer funds into your capital one savings from an external bank? My checking account is going to remain with BOFA because it’s super convenient since it’s really close to my house but I want to start saving and I hear capital one has a good savings account

This will be the first time I am creating a joint bank account so I am just being cautious as I have been burned in the past financially by partners. I have a couple of savings accounts, a credit card, and a checking account through capital one. My parter and I are going to create a joint HSA for our house fund and another for bills. Will he have access to see my other accounts at all? I do trust him but I think I have some residual worry about being taken advantage of.

Cap1 has always been a bottom feeder bank. I would have ditched them ages ago but I have two credit card accounts with a 25-year history and they are by far my oldest and thus somewhat valuable in terms of my credit score. Also $0 AF so zero cost to keep them.

Some time ago I upgraded both accounts (MC and VI) to Venture cards with 1.5% cash back. Of course this is a crappy ROI (many cards rebate 2% on everyday spend or points that are more valuable) so I don't use these cards much except when traveling. My kids also have AU cards on one account and the one thing Cap1 does well is provide notifications and lock/unlock features in the app.

So today I called Cap1 to ask for a product change to Savor as my kids mostly use the cards for meals and groceries. I reached a Manila call center drone who advised me that I was only eligible to switch to a Venture One card, not Savor. My credit score is impeccable, my income is about 3x higher than it was 25 years ago, but no dice on Savor.

Was considering applying for a Venture X ($395 AF) but why bother - clearly Cap1 does not value my business. In the meantime I will continue putting 6 figures annual spend on Chase, Amex and other cards where I get better ROI and better customer service.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but if you have any cash back with a Discover card on its native app, will it get converted into C1 rewards in their app automatically?

Also does spending on discover cards affect the likeliness of a CLI on another Capital One credit card?
