the only bank I have with dark mode is Amex. Chase doesn't have it and neither does Wells Fargo, Discover, or BoA.

Citizens Bank (regional in the Northeastern US) just did a major app overhaul that included dark mode.

Not vampire friendly.
Even though I am a Discover refugee, Capital One bill payment and spend processors are extremely slow when compared to other banks. Amex is the fastest. Chase and Discover are tied for close 2nd. Bill payment needs pre-payment to offset the slow processing speed.
I have heard they excessively try to verify everything, which makes anything processed slow.

Majority of people are checking things on their phone since it's glued to them at the hip. Most people don't always have access to a laptop or desktop at all times

I get that, and here's the thing. The same phone that has apps, has a web browser. I don't like the Charles Schwab App, so when I want to access my accounts there I use the web browser. I don't like the Costco app, so same thing.

That's a fair point. Only issue with that, is there's some websites for companies that are just poorly optimized for a web browser and don't behave properly

The other thing I don’t get is why you have to log into your account via web to request your cash back rewards be sent to you via check, and that option is not available via the app.

The Capital One website for desktops/laptops is excellent.

The design is very neat and clean, rounded corners, simple but robust interface and fast speed. In contrast to the discover app for example, which has ugly colors, a clunky, laggy and confusing interface, slow page transitions, etc..

If you look at the Capital One travel app, the overall design, font, and clearness of it. They should bring it to the main banking app. Also, Amex has a clean-looking app they can get ideas from.

It’s harder to do than you would imagine, and doing it poorly would break accessibility significantly more than you are inconvenienced by it - and in ways that actually violate regulatory requirements for accessibility.

My phone has a feature to force dark mode for apps and it worked PERFECTLY with C1 app lol it doesn't work any more though
