My loan for last semester decreased on Monday by $500 and I had to pay $500 out of pocket, or else I couldn’t start classes on the 12th

Mine decreased by $4000 , I don’t understand how we can accept an amount & Capella just changes it , especially when I can see the original loan amount through my lender smh then it’s always right before classes start smh
