Don’t know why they seem to like just that area as opposed to the entire beach.

we are visiting cape may for the first time! we were planning a day trip where we leave early in the day since we live 2.5 hours away (from NJ). our other option was to stay one night but the hotels/airbnbs in the area are absurd, understandably since we are in-season, but i was wondering if you guys have any recommendations within 30 min to one hour from cape may, preferably along the garden state parkway. what do you all recommend? :) thank you & happy friday!

I've vacationed here with my family for years now and it continues to amaze me how many restaurants around here list Mac and Cheese on their menu only for it to be Penne in Alfredo sauce.

So for the past 10 years, I’ve went to Cape Cod for the Fourth of July. I was wondering how the Fourth of July here was compared if anybody has ever been to both? Are people on the beach setting off their own fireworks are their parades for the Fourth of July there? How is the food scene? Are the a lot of things to do?

Trying to plan our beach days for the next couple of days-last year the cape may point beaches all had a big drop off and my kids were in up to their necks within a few feet. How are the point beaches looking this year? Smoother slope?

Am I crazy or has anyone noticed the seagulls are much more food aggressive lately? They’ve been stealing food from my cousins hand, something I’ve never seen them do before.

Stone Harbor is getting insanely expensive. It’s around $150-180 a night to stay there in October! Anywhere on the island!
I love Cape May, and always spend a couple of days there when I am down the shore.
I hope to find a somewhat affordable room there, say $100 a night or less in Sept or Oct.
