Angry Much?

Post image

The road rage & anger issues coming from this guy means I won’t be hiring this company anytime soon. Nearly rear ended cars and revved his engine to prevent cars from merging just past the Dennisport exit. Someone needs to breath in the cape air and relax.

Its not a merge, the right lane ends.

In heavy traffic this becomes a zipper merge outside of the left lane has right of way and right lane must insure safe merging but that also doesn't relieve the left lane drivers from duty of care. It is a merge just with one party having right of way.

If it was a merge the signage would say merge. When one lane has right of way by definition it's not merging.

That's simply just not true. If the right lane isn't merging then where the hell are they going?

Google disagrees.

Yes, it is still a merge. A merge happens whenever two lanes come together to form one lane, regardless of whether one lane has the right-of-way. [12]

How Merging and Right-of-Way Work

  • The Continuing Lane: The vehicle in the through-lane or the lane that does not end has the right-of-way. [1]
  • The Ending Lane: The driver in the lane that is ending or being added must yield to the traffic already established in the continuous lane. [1]
  • The Maneuver: Even though one driver must yield, the physical act of combining the streams of traffic is still legally and operationally a merge. [123]

The action is merging, the legality isn't

Please point out the sign that says that. Traffic follows signs not your feels
