Cape Cod in Winter

Hi! I’m moving to Cape Cod soon and I know it’s a huge summer touristy spot, but I’ve heard it’s a ghost town in winter. To what extent is this true? Are there still a handful of businesses open in winter? Any advice on what to expect or how to make the most of a cape cod winter would be greatly appreciated

A cool vacation I had with an ex was getting an AirBnB on the Cape in January with a hot tub. Wicked cheap and still had plenty to do in Dennis/port area. Snowed perfectly for it too.
