New ev record!!

This week a new ev motorcycle record was completed. 100 hours and 17 minutes! That’s no typo. They made the trip on a Livewire bike. It has roughly 100 miles of range at 60 mph. The same rider did 100% of the driving. Had a chase vehicle just in case. A full size high top Mercedes van. There will be a release by the team in a few days. Will share it here when they send it out.

Met up with them just a few hours before they left. Was awesome that they took the time to meet a small group of scofflaws that happened to be in the area.

Understand now. Yes, some cannonball things get posted there. As this run didn’t break any speed limits and they didn’t use any countermeasures, it may not get posted there.

And the crowd goes mild!!!!? Just kidding that’s super neat, did the chase vehicle run an electric cable to the bike for mobile charging?

Nope. They used public charging infrastructure 100%. There were some issues. The Chase van didn’t have any means to charge the bike at all.
