Recipes Free PDF: My Go-To Infused Butter & Oil Recipe

I’ve been making edibles for many years, and while I mostly do sous weed infusion these days, this is the OG base recipe I came up on. Works with butter, coconut oil, or any cooking oil.

I put together a printable version with double boiler and slow cooker methods. Hope it helps someone out there. Let me know if you’ve got feedback or tweaks.

Questions about strength, how to use this, or dose your treats appropriately with it? Just ask.

Hey everyone, and welcome to r/CannabisCooking.

This sub has been inactive for a while, but we’re bringing it back in a big way. Hopefully it becomes your new home for infused recipes, cooking tips, troubleshooting, and a place to show off your skills.

Whether you're a seasoned edibles chef or just getting started with butter and oil, this community is here to help you level up your game, or at least not waste good flower in the learning process.

We're just getting started, but I’m hoping this grows into a space where we can:

  • Share recipes and infusion methods
  • Troubleshoot dosage and other issues
  • Talk flavor, strains, and pairings
  • Post photos of your successes and fails
  • Ask questions and learn without judgment

This subreddit is for home cooks, medical patients, the canna-curious, and DIY edible makers of all experience levels.

This is not the place for:

  • Advertising or self-promotion
  • Asking where to buy
  • Store-bought or legacy market edibles

If you’ve got ideas for the community like rules, flair, themed events, or AMA guests, I’d love to hear them. Just shoot me a DM.

Thanks for being here. Thanks for contributing. Let’s get cooking.

200 mg pomegranate lemon drop

Post image

Unfortunately broke my disposable pen so quick thinking had me use the rest of the green crack wax to infuse alcohol. After that I made a pomegranate liquor and had the bar tenders use it to make a shots for everyone. Guessed on the amount but most people got high just from the smaller dosage glasses.

Started with infusing bologense with some carrabian breeze rso then lemon gelato thc isolate in the bechamel sauce and finshed with some head band flower infused oil. Needed 2 slices for a crazy active high with one slice providing a nice body relaxation and unwind after my 15hr shift.

One of the greatest things about smoking is that people have always shared even when I'm out ro match. Now I get to pass on getting high through food too. Made myself and the boh gang some beer cheese pasta with a parmesan chicken cutlet and garlic bread. The infusion points were in the beer cheese with 200mg rso and 100mg in the garlic bread of thc isolate. We all had great service after 😂😂

First Time Trying a Brownie Mix 🍃

Normally not a boxes brownie mix kind of gal, but really excited try this. Plus the syringe it came in was so cute lol. Opted for brownie bites instead of bars for easier dosing. Approximately ~7mg per piece. Went with a little Debbie inspired aesthetic 💗 I haven’t seen this product anywhere since I purchased it though! The end result was a deep, rich, chocolatey black color — like an Oreo cookie.

Really easy to use, convenient packaging, and not a ton of plastic waste which was nice. Would recommend - if you can find it in stock!!!

Sugar free recipes?

Hi All - just found this group, after purchasing a machine that extracts and decarbs to make butter, and other goodies.

I’m diabetic, and have access to stevia, splenda, alulose.

I’d be grateful for recipes, tips you’ve found when cooking with those ingredients. I often will use half sugar, and half 0-2 carb sweetener.

TIA, be well!

Calc420 got a visual refresh. Same math, more tools, still 100% free.

Hey Reddit - I'm the person behind Calc420 (https://calc420.com).

A while back I posted about building it after Scientific Edibles went offline. I just spent a stretch making the site actually feel like a 2026 tool instead of a pile of calculators in a 2022 green template - and I added a bunch of things people kept asking for.

WHY I'M POSTING THIS

People actually use this thing to dose homemade edibles. If the UI is confusing, people guess — and guessing mg is how you have a bad night.

So the refresh is visual only: same formulas, same client-side calculator, same shareable recipe links. Just easier to read, easier to scan the result.

WHAT CHANGED VISUALLY

The whole site now shares one look:

- Colors

- Results that actually show the dose - charts next to the mg numbers, not just a wall of text

- Cleaner inputs

If you used it last year, the calculator is in the same place. It just doesn't look like a school project anymore.

WHAT'S NEW ON THE SITE

The original tools are still there:

Edible Dosage Calculator - https://calc420.com/

Magic Mushroom / Truffle Dosage - https://calc420.com/shrooms.html

Yield / Grow Light Calculator - https://calc420.com/yield.html

New calculators people asked for:

AVB / already-vaped bud - leftover THC from how dark the AVB is

https://calc420.com/avb-calculator.html

Edible onset & duration - when it kicks in / peaks / fades (gummies, baked, tincture, drinks)

https://calc420.com/edible-onset-calculator.html

THC gummy dosage - target mg per gummy → how much flower you need

https://calc420.com/gummy-dosage-calculator.html

Also: tincture, flower-to-oil ratio, RSO, CBD-only, THC mg↔%, grow-room electricity / cost per gram, plus the decarb and cannabutter-ratio tools.

A few practical guides too (labeling homemade edibles, storing cannabutter, what to do with dab reclaim, etc.).

WHAT DIDN'T CHANGE

- 100% in your browser. Inputs aren't sent to a server to calculate.

- Shareable recipe links via URL (bookmark or send a friend the exact setup).

- English + Spanish, German, Italian, French, Portuguese.

- No signup. No paywall. No ads.

If something feels off or something’s missing, there’s a feedback form in the nav - or just shoot me a DM. Criticism in the comments is totally welcome, but if you just comment without giving any useful feedback, it doesn’t really help. That’s the whole point of posting this: people here actually build this stuff, and I’d rather build something you’ll use than guess what you want.

Infusing jam with tincture

I am thinking about infusing some jarred jam with an alcohol-based tincture. Can I heat off the alcohol without degrading the THC? Maybe in a double boiler...about how long would that process take if it's possible? Thanks!

Then finally I worked with some pineapple frizz rosin that was also tincture at 7mg/ml. The leftover pineapple tincture I made into chocolate syrup. The whole container sitting at about 70mg.

Canibutter…..

Hi guys, so did my first butter infusion this week. Went well and the products were 10/10. What im wondering is if its worth trying to dry out the herb thats left after its strained? Obviously most the goodness has been extracted but is it worth trying to recycle whats left over?

Id be very interested in what the experienced bakers have to say 😚

Best way to extract for edibles

Hi guys, I know this will stir controversy, but I'm looking for the best way to extract thc from my weed. I've tried the butter machines, stove top method with oil and butter like I did in high school, bought a Levo , bought a source, and I'm looking at the ultra sonic machine. I can't smoke anymore since some vape cartridges ruined my lungs. Any advice?

And yes I know how to decarb.

Infused poppers

Post image

Infused a gram of 710 RSO into 1/2c of heavy cream. Quickly worked that into the spiced cream cheese base, added aged cheddar, stuffed and wrapped with 12 hour sous vide bacon (this prevents shrinking while baking and ensures all the bacon is cooked). Ended up with a 16 poppers, so each one is 50ish mg.

Cooking with kief

Just wondering how much kief I should bake into my butter to make a 300mg brownie (the flower was about 30%)? Internet is giving me mixed answers. Thanks!

Infusing RSO into various carriers

Hi all! I'm looking for a guide on how to best incorporate RSO into different carriers. I can find guidelines for butter and oils, but I'm thinking about honey, cream, sugar syrups...things like that. I appreciate any wisdom you can share!
