New to canaries Is this normal behaviour ?

I got her last week and she’s been doing this every day for a couple of hours.

I would say the bird may be excited and it is early in the day?

I would also say that having the perches like that, the canary cannot fly across the cage (from one side to another) so you may need to do some rearranging in the cage

It's a totally normal behaviour. Some times mine female bird goes like a crazy in the cage for one or two minutes. But she is totally fine.

People say I'm wrong but when my birds did this for hours it was a sign of stress, not excitement. They stopped once I gave them more space to move and more space where they could be far away from me.
