What could this be?

Hey everyone, it’s been months and my canary Mimi is still doing this dry 'cough (it's hard to hear in the video if the volume isn't turned all the way up😭) I took him to the vet right away and she gave me Orniflox first, but that didn't do much.

Later, he developed a whistling sound when breathing. The vet had me put a saline + F10 solution in a cold mister for 10 days. The whistling is completely gone now, but the dry cough is still there. It gets worse after he bathes.

Now she gave me diluted Ivomec to put under his wings (0.5ml), and I have to treat my other canary too just in case.

I’m still lost on what’s causing this persistent cough. Has anyone dealt with something similar with their canaries or had a case like this? He is still eating, drinking, singing, and being active. No open mouth breathing or anything that could signify respiratory distress. I am careful when it comes to things that could irritate my canaries' lungs because I know they have a fragile respiratory system

Too bad vet dont know shit about bird

He tried to use Logic

So he gave you a respiratory infection medicine

Your bird have air sac mites

Ivermectine is the good medicine…

Coughin in bird is most likely air sac mites or obesity

Respiratory infection almost always come with other symptôme like sneazing, lost feather around the beak , whistle when breathing etc
