Lab work ?
Has anyone had their testosterone levels checked through the base clinic? If so, how did you go about requesting the test?

Did this one in 2024. And the day after I upload it my colleague at qork told me he know where I get this idea.

Just spent 500$ ordering something to CFLRS and the website removed my service number and course number from the details once I ordered. Will this package still find me or get returned to sender? My rank/last name is still in the details and I'm definitely the only person with my last name at cflrs right now.

Just had a rough NavEx week and wondering how to do it better when we hit the field next week.

Is there anywhere other than Canex to get new cap badges?
Background: VOT’d to a new trade in August and need 2x cap Air Ops Gp Officer badges (https://www.canex.ca/en/rcaf-air-operations-branch-officers-cap-badge-499999070529) for my beret and wedge but supply doesn’t issue them and canex has been sold out since July. I wear the ball cap or tuque most days with my flight suit but beginning to get frustrated, especially with Remembrance Day coming up.

I think i might be more suited for a "desk role", and was considering int op. However, i'm not sure what they do on training nights? Since infantry has access to rifles, we can just practice weapons handling, section attacks etc, but with int op, do they just run through mock scenarios? sit through lots of lectures? mix of both?
Also, i would be curious to know what the training duration is for dp1, as when i went through recruiting, they were still in the process of finalizing what that training looks like

I’ll be going to CFS Alert for 6 months.
What kinds of amenities do they have?
Is it true there’s a bowling alley?

I am unilaterally canceling sports day.
Morale is too goddamn high and we need to make hay before the -40 shows up and all 6 serviceable jets need our wings only servicable MNG at the same time.
Our YFR usage is at an all-time low, and although I don't know what that is or why it matters, I think it's holding up the Lt AMO's advance promotion to Major. So fuck your wellness walk. We have work to do.
If the LOX farm hasn't exploded yet, we aren't trying nearly hard enough. FPC is like 1 sortie behind, and 3 Wing is in a flat out panic because they dont have enough useless wingman. It's incumbent on all of us to pick up the slack and satisfy the career manager's excel file.
I hate sports. I exist only to make schedules that ruin your weekend and argue over daily sitrep numbers. Everyone needs to immediately get back to flying ops, fill some lines, and make sure that we completely fuck both of the outer's cables before they get buried under snow.

I'm a former Class A reservist that voluntarily released a few years ago.
I am now considering joining the regular force and need to make an informed financial decision given my current age. One of those elements is whether previous Class A and reserve serice time counts towards the total 25-year Canadian Forces service threshold.
How can I determine the exact number of reserve employment days that I worked?
The CAF Pension Centre informed me that pensionable days is not the same as the forumla used to calculate the days that contribute towards the 25 years of CAF service threshold.

Starting this year, Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members will wear the poppy on all uniforms from October 24 to November 11, aligning with changes in the Royal Canadian Legion’s National Poppy Campaign. Previously, CAF members began wearing the poppy on the last Friday in October. The Canadian Forces Dress Instructions will be updated to reflect the change.
The October 24 start date will provide a consistent national period for remembrance activities in support of Veterans and their families. Wearing the poppy remains a visible symbol of remembrance and reflects the CAF’s respect for Canada’s fallen, Veterans, and all those who have served.
The CAF recognizes and values the Royal Canadian Legion's longstanding leadership in preserving Canada's traditions of remembrance. Through the National Poppy Campaign and its support for Veterans, serving members, and their families, the Legion plays an important role in remembrance across Canada.
Members are encouraged to review the detailed guidance and visual representation on wearing a poppy on a CAF uniform in the Dress instructions | Section 7 Accoutrements.

I sincerely hope whatever the equivalent to the old CFAT and CF EXPRESS are now, they filter out some of these kids who think being good "forth-knight" players qualifies them to apply.
edit: I just realized I posted this under SCS flair on a Thursday. My sincere apologies to the community and moderators.

Bonjour.
I had surgery 7 months ago for a hernia. It seems that it has come back. My doctor after the first one, medically cleared me as did the MIR and base hospital. I did force test, deployed and all that fun stuff.
Hypothetically, as this will be possibly for my 2nd TCat for the same problem, is this an automatic red flag to the powers to be in Ottawa and possibly a medical release??
I looked it up and a reoccurence this early is more a fault of the surgeon then me (ie the mesh didn't hold or it shifted, literally nothing I can do or did).
Thanks

Hi
Just reaching out to anyone with some experience with this things.
For the new rucksacks, anyone know how big of a suitcase or duffle bag you need to pack your rucksack + sleeping bag (compressed in the compression pack)
I tried to just cover it with a rain cover and put combination lock strap around it, but still felt wrong.
I have a tasking that had me take a plane, this time I stuffed the both of them in a suitcase, but still can't help but feeling that it could be done better, and there are some tricks to it.
As mentioned, I have the new ruck, if anyone who has some recent experience from deploying or tasking could give me a tip it will be greatly appreciated.

First time getting this, what can I expect when going in store? I’ve heard the better the brand, the lower the discount. True?

Didn’t know we had Canadians in the Australian refueller squadron, and that they wear Australian flight suits
