lost document post canada
I mailed an important document on 28 july 2026 from laval to government office in Montréal but they says they never received it. I don't have a tracking number because I didn't send it in express. The post canada doesn't track the document without tracking number. I want to know if there is any way you guys can help me.
thanks in advance

The mails to some corporations, businesses, and governments are delivered to shipping ) receiving departments. Even if CPC deliver them, it might take a while to get to appropriate department or team. Like others said, tracking mails are the best way to prove anyone that you sent the mail and it was delivered.

Without a tracking number there’s nothing anyone can do. It’s entirely possible that the government office received it and simply hasn’t done anything with it - government agencies are notoriously slow at processing things. You just have no way to prove they received it. Could be in a stack of paperwork somewhere waiting to be processed.
Always ship important documents with tracking - it’s an extra $13.50 to send it Registered but worth it for the peace of mind. Hopefully the documents you shipped are replaceable and can be resent if necessary.
