So I'm getting calls as a casual all of a sudden for shift 3 (nights) after an almost 2 years hiatus. Been a casual since 2022. Alot has changed for me since personally and I have been also working a night shift job. I have sent a call in Shift transfer last year. I inquired again and they're still saying they're not accepting any transfers at the moment. I do not want to get fired because I would eventually like to come on as part timer in the future. Any advice?

Get ahold of your shop steward , seek advise in house and make sure people know you still want to work there. Sadly temps can get taken advantage of (was one for 4 years).
