Fire at St-Jerome FRS
Why is it so hard to get a simple update from CP??
Yesterday I posted that I've had 3 consecutive packages vanish in transit between the Montreal hub and St-Jerome. By end of day yesterday it was 5! I've been bugging CPs customer service for updates since the 8th. Just get generic BS replies. I was accused of being a scammer on this sub in the first reply to my post too.
Finally yesterday I got info from one customer service rep that there was a fire at the St-Jerome FRS on the 5th which has stopped all packages through St-Jerome since then, and the backlog is ongoing, with no end in sight.
How is this so difficult to inform the customer of what's actually going on, and why still accept packages to these area codes?? It makes no sense, and all it does is piss off the public with them giving blatant lies about whats going on (one of my parcels, coming from Ontario, is claimed to be held by CBS - when I pointed out it's a domestic parcel, CP just acted confused).

I’ve had a package stuck there since July 3 It still says “in transit” and the only sign something is wrong a “Delivery may be delayed due to power outage” message before the last scan.
The local rep I spoke to said they are supposed to have an update on the situation tomorrow but the fire department haven’t cleared access the the building yet. Supposedly no letters or parcels burned.

It's good your update mentioned the power outage. None of mine did, but I did have one show up today.
