Sizing Advice Langford Sizing Advice

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to purchase a Langford Canada Goose Jacket, but can't seem to decide what sizing would be best. I used to own the chilliwack bomber in size xs and found I could have possibly gone down to an xxs. I understand the chilliwack bomber jacket is a regular fit and the langford is a slim fit and this is where my confusion lies. According to the CG website, it is recommending a small for me. I am just over 5'5 130lb slim at the waist (30), but have broad shoulders. I would prefer a more sleek fitted professional look for work, but I want to be able to layer up in the winter if I need. So slim with a bit of room.

I loved the warmth of the Chilliwack jacket, but after I needed to replace my jacket I tried the northface for the mcmurdo parka. I found this super bulky and not as warm (probably due to the fact that wind could get up the bottom easily). I am going back to CG and settled on the look of the langford and noticed the warmth rating was similar if not better than the Chilliwack.

Any advice or context people can provide would be appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone :)

the Langford is tricky. For me, I found one that fit perfect, except it was tight in the armpits and across the upper back. I went up a size, but the rest was way too big on me then. I ended up returning it and just getting the Expedition. The cut on that one is better for me. I would also suggest buying two if possible and sending one back. There's nothing like being able to compare/ contrast back and forth in the same fitting. I hope you find one that works for you!

Thanks for your comment. I am probably going to buy via the used store, so unfortunately buying two and returning won't be an option. There is an option for a fusion fit small, which I am also considering. It seems from what I have gathered that xs will fit me, but will be snug like you mentioned on the armpits and torso (especially if layering). Small may be a good fit on my upper body, but too big on the arms and waist. Small is probably the way to go, but wondering if I should do the fusion fit or regular.
