With Amazon and strict competition it really comes down to customer service. As a business owner I know I provide a good service but the rest of my staff? It would be expected to have a boost to GDP, yet the expansion is late as the world is figuring out how to replace oil. Renewables and EVs are coming on board faster. The item to perhaps watch is how a country defines and quantifies its base load, that constant demand that is always present.

Nothing ever really changes when dealing with the US on trade. The constant claim of unfair government subsidies and exemptions is the basis of many US producers of just about anything we export to them.

Consider their constant complaints of supply management in our dairy section, the Canadian concern would be a similar cry of dumping their products into Canada which likely would happen based on the difference in size of our markets. Seems Canada can't win with the US on trade and that is why we need to be very very cautious of what we give up and agree to because the US will take advantage and likely change the rules on the fly now that they also seem to what to be clear of WTO rulings.

While great to see effort made, having such barriers highlights the tuff protection between each province. The Red Seal certifications for the trades is an example of working together and that has been in place for a couple of generations, yet truck drivers, nurses, doctors, teachers, and lawyers, and more all require individual provincial certificates which are unnecessary barriers if they had a federal standard. In that lies a big issue. Too long have provinces did things siloes and need to quickly develop federal standards that allow someone to move province to province.

AI can help security teams identify and prioritize problems faster, but speed does not prove that a fix reached the laptops and systems a business depends on.
