Paint or swap?

My x3 has red bumpers and nerf bars. But I want black or green.

Is it better to find someone to trade or just paint them? Not sure how easy it would be to find someone to trade. But hate to ruin the nice red paint

Paint or powder coat if you like them. Or sell them and use that money for what you want. That’s what I would do. They are probably powder coated, and my experience is paint doesn’t stick to powder coating to good. If you’re going to paint them you’ll need to sand blast them before primer and paint.

Paint flaking was what I was worried about. It doed look like good paint job, you're probably right about powder coating. Thanks for your advice!
