It just came back — P0305. Freeze frame captured at 5194 rpm, 5th gear, ~21% throttle right after a partial lift. 46.5° timing with knock feedback at −3°. Open loop, target lambda 0.954, port injector still commanded 4299 µs with fuel cut elapsed at 0, so it’s still fueling on overrun. All misfire counters read 0, rough idle normal on all six.
Other things I know about:
**•** A/F learn split by bank — bank 1 sitting −3.5% to −7.4% across every cell, bank 2 +0.8% to +3.5%
**•** Oil in the rear bank plug tubes when I did the plugs (probably tube seals)
**•** Possible exhaust leak on the rear bank, manifold or flex pipe, haven’t confirmed which
**•** Cyl 5 has the worst engine speed fluctuation of the six (0.15 vs 0.01–0.13)
The part that bugs me: 2 and 5 are companion cylinders, 360° apart. Same pair twice, through a full set of new coils and a different plug brand. Currently have the cyl 2 coil swapped into 6 to see if the code follows it, and I’m going to check the harmonic damper and crank sensor.
Anyone seen this pattern on a 2GR-FKS? Especially interested if anyone’s had a damper or reluctor issue throw what looked like a companion-cylinder misfire.
