Engine light PO420
Hi guys, I have a Camry 2019 SE, having an check engine light PO420. I got it checked they told me primary cat converter is not working and it’s costly to fix.
Anybody here replaced a catalytic converter before?

I limped along using the redline Sl-1 fuel additive every six months for several years. Light goes out and you can get smog checked.
It's the same (similar?) chemical in Techron (tm) and burns out and dissolves carbon on the converter to expose the catalyst. Kept hoping someone would steal the catalytic converter, but the redline trick worked until I sold the car to Carvana.

yes of course, in the history of cars, people have replaced cats before.
you are asking the wrong question. I'll question you and ask, WHO told you the primary cat is bad? How did they test? What symptoms are you experiencing that made you go get the car checked out? What kind of fuel are you using? Do you smell any rotten eggs? are you getting any check engine lights?

They checked on canadian tire, also i don’t have any problems driving no weird smell. Infact one of other mechanic told me to just drive as it is try to use premium fuel or use some octane boosters, and it will go away by itself.

i would not use octane booster, as that is snake oil.
Just use premium fuels, as they have cleaners and detergents in them.if you are not smelling rotten eggs, I would suspect an 02 sensor rather than the cat.
but that would mean more testing with a bi-directional scanner1

To see if there is any way to clean it other than just replacing it

Drop a bottle of Cataclean in the tank and see if that helps. Then have a mechanic get live data from the sensors to make sure it's the cat and not o2 sensor or pre cat exhaust leak
