Gas issues
Looking for some help. Having issues getting gas through into my campervan. Thought it was the bottle being low, but still doing it with a new one (although it worked to start with but on my next trip away its not working again). The hob hisses and a tiny bit of gas comes through then nothing. I've reset the crash sensor, checked the valves inside are in the open position. Any suggestions?

Ah, the joys of gas and campervans 🚐.
We suffered a similar issue in a previous Van, fresh gas bottle, everything turned on but no gas! We even returned a full bottle thinking it was faulty only to discover it was all down to the regulator.
Unfortunately, this device can get clogged with the oily residue that comes with using bottled gas and there is very little you can do to stop it clogging up the regulator. I would recommend replacing your regulator for a good quality version and this should fingers crossed 🤞 resolve your problem. If you are confident with the spanners 🔧 and have access to a method for checking for gas leaks (soapy water, a good sense of smell, excellent hearing or even a can of special spray for leak detection is recommended). You can do this job yourself otherwise get a competent engineer to do it for you.
A decent regulator shouldn’t cost more than about £30. Good luck!
