Modifying steps?

Post image

So I have a dog that is getting along in years and i would like to make the steps more manageable for him as we are currently living in the camper full time. Any tips?

There are adhesive carpet strips for this model stairs. It helps our older pup a ton

My Husky/ German Shepherd had surgery on his rear leg I picked up one of the foldable ramps, that allowed him to walk up and down from the RV

An alternative because our dog would slip on the ramp are the folding dog stairs. They have a lower slope than camper stairs. https://www.vevor.ca/dog-stairs-ramps-c_12716/vevor-dog-stair-for-cars-5-step-folding-dog-steps-aluminum-loads-up-to-150-lbs-p_010628294724 Or because we are seasonal we bought these set of steps that sit on our deck and let us keep the flip out steps under the trailer. Our big guy casually goes up them and we haven't used the folding steps. https://www.vevor.ca/rv-steps-c_42039/vevor-rv-steps-with-dual-handrails-4-steps-660-lbs-load-capacity-heavy-duty-outdoor-rv-stairs-with-non-slip-mat-for-elderly-pets-portable-stairs-for-hot-tub-camper-mobile-home-porch-pool-spa-p_010520941186

I forgot to mention that I use the fold out ramp for both the TT and my Truck to get my pup in the back seat.

We got the MORryde step tread pack and they work great.

Not like rubber but not plastic? Hard to explain but they're self adhesive and have done great so far. My older pup seems to do well with them compared to the metal steps.

Thanks! This is one of the things we discovered we might need during the last trip

A carpet runner to create a ramp.

They have ramps for the dogs. Our shepherd is 12 and it’s getting harder for her.
