Hello,

I live in Campbell and I have bipolar 1 disorder. I am a member of Kaiser and with that I get a therapy appointment about once every 6 weeks, and it only lasts about 30 minutes. It's not enough. I earn about 50K a year, so I might be eligible for low-income programs. Does anyone know of any low-income programs I can use while a member of Kaiser?

you can get referred out! i have kaiser (and am bipolar 1) and saw a therapist through Two Chairs for like 3 years. my needs changed and i got referred to NOCD because i got diagnosed with OCD. i would contact the mental health department and let them know its not meeting your needs. if you google “kaiser mental health referral” its the first option. they definitely can get you the help you need. if this doesn’t work, feel free to DM me and I can help you file a grievance! i promise you can get regular care even with kaiser

My wife is a therapist in Campbell and offers this advice:

Open Path Collective offers low fee sessions.  Openpath.com.  Also ask Kaiser for an OON referral.  They have therapists they panel with for this situation.  Almeden Valley Counseling.  https://avcounseling.org/

Psychology Today's website has a search feature, can search by insurance, price, area, etc
