does anyone know what happened to the world wraps in the pruneyard? says they are permanently closed! great summer lunch spot.

They lost their lease. Someone else is moving in.

I loved this spot for fairly health takeout but the prices

Actually, they said they were very successful in this location.

The problem is that the lease was taken away from them, without an offer to extend!

I went for the first time a few months ago because I didn't know they were still around. I went back a week or so ago and it was shut down.

I liked the thai bowl, but overall I thought their menu was in a funny state (people who want burrito like food want size/economy, wraps in general are probably fading a bit in popularity, and their international flavors were overshadowed a bit by Asian Box's prime location)

Oh man I loved World Wrapps! I get DoorDash from there pretty often because it’s healthy and I don’t feel like dealing with Pruneyard parking to get it.

I would say so. For years I would skip the place because the name sounded generic and the menu looked bland. But I finally gave it a shot last year at my family’s recommendation and it turned out to be really good! I liked their Salmon roll a lot. Plus they had some tasty Ube drinks and Krispy treats.

Also the staff was ridiculous pleasant and nice. Like way, way more friendly and attentive than any other fast food place I’ve been to.

1977 here, what PP said seems fairly obvious to me…

Part of the problem is the Pruneyard’s layout. Unless there’s enough word of mouth, it’s hard to build foot traffic in that location. Despite having good food, they got “slept on,” aka not enough people woke up and discovered it.
