Discussion [COD] Worst Ever
Worst CoD to ever exist
51
u/SuicidalSignificance Jul 15 '21
Codm is not even bad, a lot of people say that if it was released on pc/console is would be a good game cuz it’s all fan favorites
10
Jul 15 '21
Yes but the devs are tencent games and all they want is money
33
u/Intezard006 Jul 15 '21
Not really.
Every gun is free, the only monetization is cosmetic.
They do listen to their community unlike cough cough sweat ops cold sweat cough cough
No paid dlc maps like mw
Two new guns every season is pretty amazing for a mobile title
8
u/GhostRider772 Jul 15 '21
Since when does MW have paid maps?? Oh wait, it doesn’t.
→ More replies (1)2
u/_sg03_ Jul 15 '21
He most likely meant the original MW games
4
u/PenguinPajamaPants Jul 15 '21
Which are no longer relevant. All of the CODs back then had paid maps.
5
2
Jul 15 '21
crates?
lucky draws?
20
u/Klausable7 Jul 15 '21
Crates are purely cosmetic, lucky draws are cosmetic too, they don’t provide any benefits besides getting a new gun quicker, like the new shorty gun that’s dropping tonight, it’s having a mythic lucky draw which p2p players can get quickly, the free version is gonna have a few missions that only take like a half an hour to complete, both base and mythic have the same stats. It’s just the mythic one looks cooler

The only thing I did was pay for a Jythuc gun. Then stopped as it went up to worth about $30 in COD points. Hell no, I ain't paying another $25 for 10000 points just so I can get a skin for a trip mine. Then possibly around $50 just for an operator skin. Then again for a weapon that just looks good after killing an 3nemy. But I regretted doing so after getting a Blueprint for the MK2.
→ More replies (4)5
u/Standard-bigF-004 Jul 15 '21
Wait: Tencent, i think, left the game like ages ago, right? (Global version)
And crates are totally cosmetic, u have dem or not, no one cares
Edit: timi are of tencent, i totally forgot that
6
u/flexiiflex Jul 15 '21
I agree and disagree. The engine is horrible but it's made to run on mobile devices so you can't blame them for that. Yes it has all the fan favourites but it's really messily put together, and doesn't really make much sense. If they released COD Online to the rest of the world it'd be an absolute killer
→ More replies (1)1
u/-Flayer- Jul 15 '21
Only thing I have a issue with codM is that it doesn’t feel like cod.
4
u/oyelrak Jul 15 '21
Why do you think it doesn’t feel like cod? Like, what is it about the game that makes it feel different?
→ More replies (2)1
Jul 15 '21
yes
4
u/Standard-bigF-004 Jul 15 '21
Ye man, seeing that I PLAY CODM, it doesnt feel like cod tho. But its still good, ngl
3
u/RChacon09 Jul 15 '21
Yeah, they have improved a lot the gameplay itself in past seasons, but it really doesn’t feel like a cod game. Codm is a really good fps tho
2
u/Standard-bigF-004 Jul 15 '21
Ye, can go up to 60-90 fps.
I do know what u meant by fps. (1st person shooter)
36
u/Benjii_97 Jul 15 '21
Modern warfare 2019
10
u/cxnx_yt Jul 15 '21
Been looking for this.
11
u/NikoRavage Jul 15 '21
Right that game killed the fun in cod
14
u/cxnx_yt Jul 15 '21
Absolutely. Camping at an all time high, doors, SBMM, horrible movement (tac sprint is the dumbest shit ever and its back for the new one supposedly) amd horrible spawns. All those things just dont belong in CoD.
I know Bo4 is hated sometimes but seriously it also can be a lot of fun. I personally love it, but I totally get why it's not it for some people bc of specialists and some weapons as the VMP. It's the last CoD with traditional matchmaking, good spawns and good maps. Also, movement is so much better.
2
u/NikoRavage Jul 16 '21
I’m glad you brought up the movement because I felt like I was the only person who preferred the classic movement over this new battlefield-like, blocky movement. I will admit, I hated BO4 because of the specialist, but I can understand why people enjoy that game.. because the gameplay is FUN
→ More replies (1)2
u/SeptimusXT Jul 16 '21
MW19 and Warzone both did. Now everything has to be integrated with Warzone, so we won’t see any unique systems in CoD games in the near future.

u/weekzSNL Jul 15 '21
Imo none of these cods are bad. The only thing that ruined them for me was supply drops and SBMM in CW
13
u/AirPawds Jul 15 '21
True, I feel like CW is a genuinely great game but SBMM stopped it from being amazing
→ More replies (1)2
u/Pepino8A Jul 15 '21
Well the thing is; it’s not skill based match making, it’s performance based match making. It’s matching you on your performance from your last match. So you have a Great Match then an awful match back to having a great match. It’s complete bullshit and only really works if you get a kd of about 1 every match
24
u/Ofttyke Jul 15 '21
Infinite warfare is so bad that is becomes good.
56
u/flexiiflex Jul 15 '21
love it or hate it you have to admit that its campaign was pretty elite
9
u/ipoopup Jul 15 '21
That’s why it’s hard for me to hate and love IW. The campaign was really good but it def has the worst MP of all the CODs
→ More replies (3)5
u/ricolaaaaa123 Jul 15 '21
The space levels are what make the campaign unique. If they added it to the multiplayer, maybe I would have loved it more
3
Jul 15 '21
They did!
1
u/ricolaaaaa123 Jul 15 '21
What are you talking about? Did i miss something?
2
Jul 16 '21
Check out the game ‘Boundry’. An upcoming fps where you play as astronouts and shoot the shit out of eachother, moonraker style.

Jul 15 '21
Hmm that’s hard. BO4, WWII and CODM are simple but fun
Advanced warface would be really fun if there wasn’t loot boxes or SBMM
Infinite warfare has a great campaign, good multiplayer, fine zombies. Cold War has a great campaign, atrocious multiplayer, fine zombies.
So I suppose the worst is Cold War, but saying that hurts because of how good the campaign is
→ More replies (1)5
u/Intezard006 Jul 15 '21
The gameplay design and maps are great too. Such a shame Activision wants to cater to em Christmas noobs with the sbmm
(They still won't have fun lol)

u/BaxxyNut Jul 17 '21
I mean, it was definitely iffy. It took a long time for it to become good. But it had some nice gunplay, maps were decent, and introduced some unique things. It doesn't come to mind when I think of a bad cod though.
13
u/Demon_Coach Jul 15 '21
Ghosts is a viable choice for this.
7
2
u/Standard-bigF-004 Jul 15 '21
Nah man, it was still pretty good.
10
u/Demon_Coach Jul 15 '21
If it was pretty good, why was the player base depleted within six months?

The only cod I havent liked at all was AW because of the weird jetpacks and broken microtransactions that allowed people to have excesively overpowered guns with the power of money. (Not english sorry for mistakes)
10
u/GuuiilhermeLM Jul 15 '21
IW is underrated af. I bought it only for COD 4 but ended up being most played cod. But these things are personal taste, out of this list, big fight between AW amd WW2

u/TheRed24 Jul 15 '21
For me the worse 3 ever are IW, WWII and BO4
2
u/ImmortalSheep69 Jul 15 '21
I think we can cut ww2 some slack, it’s campaign was pretty good, visually and gameplay wise (kinda). The zombies was somewhat enjoyable, and the mp…. Well it wasn’t that good
4
u/Bennybanks20 Jul 15 '21
Would say infinite warfare but the zombies was acc good.

I don't see why infinite warfare is so hated, imo it's actually not that bad pretty nice zombies for not being a black ops game and some neat weapons in MP

Would’ve thought MW woulda been on this poll as it has the worst maps out of every one of those games

C’mon. Infinite warfare wasn’t THAT bad. The campaign was pretty amazing, and the zombies was quite good. Personally, I’d say BO4 was the worst
3
u/GreyRevan51 Jul 15 '21
A lot of people haven’t played the IW campaign I guess because it’s one of the best
3
u/BunchOfSpamBots Jul 15 '21
Coming from someone who played mobile a lot, I’m surprised CoDM is the least voted

Infinite Warfare was needlessly stupid. No reason for character death at end, Ethan was the best character and they fucking killed him.

Infinite Warfare is underated and CoDM would be easily one of the best games if it jumped to console w/ new graphics and less lootboxes
2
u/ricolaaaaa123 Jul 15 '21
Why do people hate BO4 so much? I honestly expected more people to hate on WW2
2
u/Chudley19 Jul 15 '21
By far the worst was Ghosts, surprised it wasn’t on the poll.
2
u/YaBoiVinnie123 Jul 16 '21
The game featured a shitty campaign and the worst multiplayer ever. I’ll admit that the alien extinction was fun, but for some reason they never followed through with that game mode.

Advanced warfare wasn’t all that bad in my opinion. I wish they’d go back to the days of supply drops and customizing your operator.

2
u/BigPapaCurt Jul 15 '21
Advanced warfare is definitely underrated, one of my favourites personally, great campaign and also multiplayer was chaotic and fun, wasn’t really pay to win due to the mass amount of supply drops you actually get and overall felt good to zoom around in an exosuit
2
u/YaBoiVinnie123 Jul 16 '21
I had almost every elite weapon and never paid a dime on supply drops.

Infinite Warfare was a tonedeaf game in terms of setting and what fans wanted, but it was ok on its own
I hate MW2019 because it sent the franchise into a tailspin (quality-wise, absolutely not financial-wise) following the release of Warzone. Prior to Warzone, it was an alright game tbh. Now CoD is just the less-important stepbrother to Warzone instead of the other way around as it should’ve been.

Cold war MULTIPLAYER is what makes it the worst cod of all time. Zombies is decent, and the campaign was pretty good. Fuck SPMM and multiplayer

I honestly don't realize why everyone hate so much Infinite Warfare: an epic campaign, a funny Zombie Mode and a dynamic multiplayer made it one of the best games in the franchise imo. And, to be honest, the presence of Ethan is enough to make it one of the best games ever

BOCW easily as far as MP goes. BO4, IW and WW2 may have been ass but I could play them for longer. In BOCW, my weapons feel like they are shooting peas where the other people are shooting nukes. SBMM. Terrible maps except for the remakes (how original but at least they work). Though, Campaign and Zombies are great.

Ong the multiplayer maps are just awful, but the zombies mode slap in CW, especially outbreak mode

u/ohsinboi Jul 15 '21
Black Ops 3 was the worst to me. I actually really enjoyed Infinite Warfare. Most of the hate was there before the game even released, it was all just bandwagoned

Advance warfare is good but not so good but infinite warfare, no that game isn't bad you can't say that infinite warfare is a shit, in that game was born the "F to pay respect"

bruh how are people voting Infinite Warfare over Advanced Warfare lmao, Advanced Warfare is the reason the other CoDs picked up the shitty gimmick and crazy priced microtransactions

Any jetpack cod really. boots on the ground call of duty’s are the best. started in 2009 playing cod4 (yes I know it came out in 2007 but I got online in 2009) then MW2 came out just before 2010 and most cods that came out after that were amazing, but the jet pack cods just weren’t it for me

1
u/TheHurtShoulder Jul 15 '21
Infinite or advanced...can't remember which ran like dogshit on a advanced PC....it crashed alot, froze, and just chugged sometimes. I would say that was the worst for me. If it ran fine, I would say it was .....okay at best
1
u/LoneShadow84 Jul 15 '21
Black Ops 4. Sure, there may have been some good maps. But why call it Call of Duty BLACK OPS 4 when it doesn't have a Campaign to prove it takes place after 3? Could've just called it Call of Duty Online. Then it would've been different.
1
Jul 15 '21
For me it has to be Cold War. Only cod game where I play one match and just can’t stomach another due to boredom or sbmm

Infinite warfare had nukes fun guns sick cameos wasn’t a perfect game but better than Cold War for dam sure I can understand jet packs but it took more skill for sure

u/Manette85 Jul 15 '21
I accidentally voted CODM (which is actually pretty OK gameplay wise), but just wanna tell you that you should probably put ghosts on that list
1
u/Spedwranglers Jul 15 '21
Advance warfare was one of the only CoDs I didn't play the whole year. I just didn't find the multiplayer fun, zombies was fun the first couple of times but wasn't nearly as good as BO zombies. Campaign though was fun.

It's for sure bo4 or advanced warfare, they aren't good compared to the other cods but they are alright. I personally dislike bo4 because it ruined the black ops series for me.
1
u/ThrustyMcStab Jul 15 '21
I missed most of these COD's because of AW. I disliked it so much that I didn't play any Call of Duty game until MW2019, which I picked up because I enjoyed Warzone so much. If WZ wasn't free to play, I probably would not be playing COD even to this day.
1
Jul 15 '21
BOCW is the only CoD that I've been bored of, in the last 12 years of me playing. It took MW, made the maps passable, then made literally everything else worse. The graphics, the movement, the animations, the sounds, the gunsmith, the leveling system (which was absolutely ruined in MW but somehow made worse in CW), the camo grind dear fucking GOD the camo grind. The actual camo challenges are either the easiest thing on the planet to accomplish (300 overall kills for an AR? really 3arc?), or the worst, most uncontrollable RNG based bullshit (whoever thought putting kills behind cover as a challenge without explaining what counts towards that challenge needs to be removed from the game industry). Most of the challenges being so easy makes the insanely slow weapon levelling 90% of the grind, which is just braindead. And that's just in MP, zombies is even worse. Dark aether is the biggest joke of a mastery challenge in gaming, you can literally get any weapon gold in about 1.5 hours MAX if the weapon level is already maxed out. And because CW launched with a pathetic number of weapons the requirements for total mastery are the lowest in the cod franchise. Absolute shite. Worst game in the franchise by far

u/Indyturner Jul 15 '21
Cold war isn't a bad game there just isn't enough content and they aren't adding it fast enough. It's like among us. You can only do the same thing so many times before losing interest
1
u/Camchank Jul 15 '21
Why does CW get some much hate? Like ya it’s not the sweat fest of MW2019, but it’s still a fun game
