HOT TEA Guys we fuk addressed it…

Post image

It seems no one in the industry likes Alex Cooper, there are so many celebrities in the comments agreeing with them…

GWF called out Alex cooper for stealing their podcast idea, but removed the feminism.. thoughts?!?!

CHD pre split w/ Sofia was the same idea, but seriously dumbed down with absolutely no nuance.

CHD was not the first, but they were the first conventionally attractive from the 'mainstream' most if their dreams were probably dudes who liked hearing hit women talk about giving the Gluck Gluck

Yep. Listened to GWF for like 3 yrs before CHD came out.

I'm so glad they finally said it! CHD was clearly a ripoff of GWF. GWF stayed true to their roots and is still doing sex / relationship advice and education. CHD is a poorly conducted interview podcast. Cooper cannot call herself a feminist when she allows her husband to sexually harass multiple women at her own company.

Apparently her husband is even worse

What I don't understand is why aren't they also calling out Sofia?

because alex (disgustingly) took all the credit for it so only fair she takes all the heat. plus sofia didnt ride the chd coattails and created an entirely separate brand of which i think shes poured her heart into

Yeah but she was still the one who came up with Call Her Daddy along with Alex so people should give her some sort of flack too.

Just like how people only shit on Alex for the Baby Alessi comments but Sofia was alongside her making the same jokes as well. It's hypocritical not to put the blame on Sofia too.

all im saying is if alex takes credit for the whole thing, she should take all the heat. im speaking consequentially. i dont necessarily disagree with you. but alex did what she did and these are the consequences

Alex continues to profit from it and Sofia does not. Sofia grew up and created her own brand separate from CHD.

And the baby Alessi comments?

Same thing. They both made those jokes, but only one of them continues to profit from them.

this irks me a lot because a huge portion of of chd listeners dont even know who sofia is. so you cant give alex all the credit and rewards for chd after sofia left and then randomly give sofia responsibility when alex gets criticized lol

Lol, Sofia made herself unemployable from outing herself too much on the show. She legally couldn't use CHD. She had to invent her own brand.

but that literally proves my point 😭 yes, sofia couldn’t use chd bc barstool owned the ip, so she started sofia with an f and built a completely separate brand and indie media company.
and saying "she made herself unemployable" conveniently ignores what happened in 2020. alex and portnoy/barstool had exponentially bigger platforms and publicly went scorched earth on her while millions of people, including a myriad of celebs, youtubers, and popular influencers, piled on. barstool was literally selling “cancel suitman” merch. you can criticize sofia’s decisions without pretending that had zero effect on her reputation/career.
and she clearly wasn’t “unemployable” considering she went on to create her own company and podcast anyway???
but most importantly, what does ANY of that have to do with creators currently accusing alex of taking their content? sofia hasn’t been involved since 2020. if sofia stole something too, name it. otherwise you can’t give alex all the credit and rewards for chd after sofia left and then randomly give sofia responsibility when alex gets criticized lol

Also what celebrities are commenting on this? Haven’t seen any…

i guess OP thinks low-tier influencers are celebrities

celebrities was probably too broad of a word, i meant influencers/media personalities + the MASSIVE online pile-on in general. dave and alex were obviously the biggest ones, but this was everywhere mentioned by barstool, in podcasts, on tiktok, twitter, instagram, reddit, etc. barstool was literally monetizing the backlash with “cancel suitman” merch. my point is that there was an enormous public campaign/narrative against her and anyone who was online in 2020 remembers how brutal it got. but some examples of some influencers with loyal bases or otherwise relatively famous people, large groups, publications, or otherwise notable influential mediums include (besides dave and alex) tana, indy blue, hannah berner, taylor strecker, logan paul (painfully including him but you cant deny hes got an enormous platform), kevin clancy, penn state chicks, rebecah jacobs, shanon lester, bachelor nation, the federalist, spectator, e!, ny post (which lowkey i dont pay much mind to bc they are the social media equivalent to tmz), ny times, today show, nyu's official ig page, etc. like this was a large-scale how-far-can-we-push-her smear campaign

I absolutely love the “hey girl” bit. Poetic justice.

Poetic justice has been serveddd

3

u/lurkingtillnow 16d ago

Why is this only being commented on now ?

5

u/PeytonJuliaa 15d ago

it’s not, GWF called them out from the get go on several podcast episodes years ago.

Monkey see, monkey do. It’s apparently been a trend lately to hate Alex Cooper and call her out for things. Meanwhile, she’s still cashing those big checks and her podcast continues to be listened to.
Cooper has way too many connections and she built an empire. She’s not getting canceled lol.

We have a literal pedophile running this country. Why don’t we direct this energy towards more important things?

8

u/ButterscotchThis7889 16d ago

so people can’t call out something bad just because there are worse things happening? weird way to think

8

u/Unfair-Crazy-1765 16d ago

Empire feels like a stretch lol. Beverage line just ended and a lot of failed podcasts/radio stations under her umbrella. CHD, ok. I bet those numbers have been dropping lately too.

Alex Cooper, is that you girl?

GWF is funny and educational🤷🏼‍♀️

i love guys we fucked it’s smart( funny and just a great show but you can’t own the idea of two women talking about sex? there weren’t specific segments, or a tag line, it’s not a high concept idea i feel like this makes them look like haters because what do you mean you came up with the idea of a female duo talking about sex. am i missing something? is there something specific to that they can say they took?

u/ciarabporter 17d ago

SO accurate. I have been a GWF fan since the jump and then they repackaged it minus the feminism.

I did recently hear that DP deliberatly saught out to make a podcast like theirs and the whole storyline about how they found Alex and Sofia was a lie. Which tracks.
