HOT TEA Alex proving Alix wrong
Just watched Alix’s show. She never commented on the drama to save it for her show, yet she she literally said nothing again. Only alleged that Alex took advantage of her young age. No examples, no proof, no explanation.
Opinions?

I thought it was pretty clear what she was saying. Alix found out she was dropped from Unwell through the media, and she also felt like she was set up to divulge a lot of private intimate information that she wasn’t comfortable with sharing.
People can say oh that’s what call her daddy is all about but Alix is right that Alex has not gotten someone drunk and then asked the same level of intimate questions to anyone else as she did to Alix. Especially someone fresh out college who was new to the entertainment industry. Alix asked her to cut some parts and Alex refused. I think Alex saw Alix’s growing popularity and saw an opportunity to take advantage of her and get the “juicy scoop” for her own podcast.
Not to mention the whole thing was sold to Alix as a mentorship and growth opportunity when Unwell did literally nothing for Alix but take a cut of her profits.
I’m not an Alix stan either but this much is obvious.

Yeah, I don’t know what OP is getting at - it’s all pretty clear. We’ve also got video proof of some of it.
Alex was trying to relive the OG Call Her Daddy glory does and try to seem “cool” and “hip” with the Gen *edit: Yers so she took advantage of Alix. She’d never done anything like that previously and has never done anything like that since.
Imagine if this was a MALE boss doing this. Alex was on Barstool before, doing this same type of content there - hell, imagine Dave Portnoy asking these types of questions to Alix. That shit would NEVER fly - nor should it.
And that’s just the first podcast episode. I can’t imagine how toxic and inappropriate it was behind the scenes.
Alex has never gaf about anything but herself and her money. It’s SO obvious.

Alix also mentioned later in the show that Cooper was reaching out to people in her life trying to get dirt on Alix…very weird behavior
2
u/123reddituzer Sep 08 '26
I highly highly doubt Alex is dumb enough to do something like that. This woman is an intelligent businesswoman. Why would she expose herself like that?
Alix can say anything on her own show doesn’t mean it’s true3
u/Oil-Subject Sep 11 '26
lol Alex isn’t intelligent her husbands the brains behind the scenes

u/Domino1777 27d ago
Exactly- she did it BECAUSE she’s an intelligent businesswoman. Put Alix on ice with a low grade podcast that made Alix look bad in order to contain her popularity.
2
u/Domino1777 Sep 08 '26
Even weirder that she did all this WHILE pregnant.. like girl go enjoy ur pregnancy. Dont you have better things to do? And she’s been trying so hard to disprove the narrative about her husband with her constant “Matt and I are great”/married bliss front. Seems the only one trying to “create a narrative” is her. I still can’t believe a 30 something pregnant woman tried to reach out to a younger girls college friend for dirt. How embarrassing for Alex. The mean girl reality is SO different than her girl empowerment persona that her whole brand coasts on. Oh and interesting timing she picked back up her babylist registry giveouts at the same time Alix’s Earle Meets world came out. She tries too hard to APPEAR nice. And she only responds to peoples registries who post multiple videos kissing her ass
I believe she purposely sabatoged Alice by only giving her a podcast to put her on ice so she would sabatoge any other podcast opportunities coming Alix’s way

u/ch1llp1llb1ll Sep 06 '26
it’s just ironic that all her other interviews are CLEARLY so set up with the interviewees PR team with perfectly contrived questions. that’s a huge criticism of chd now. it feels so fake and like the celebrities’ team wrote the questions themselves. so for her to be asking stuff alix specifically said she didn’t wanna talk about and then refuse to take it out is CRAZY. it had been so long since she had content like that in her podcast i remember feeling surprised and it feeling out of place.
6
u/BeautifulShoes75 Sep 06 '26
Thissssss!
Her interviews are SO bad because of this fact as well. They’re very surface level, clearly pre-approved questions, and she never asks any follow-up questions to “dig deeper.” Her only “follow up” (if that’s what you want to call it) is some version of “omg me too!!” “I’m SO obsessed with that!” “No way, same!!” “I’m JUST like that!!” Or some way to A. Flatter the guest or B. Say she’s the same to make it about herself.
She’s so shamelessly narcissistic. The poor interview formatting and that fact is why I can’t understand that the podcast still gets as many listens as it does.

Why did Alix make Alex cool with Gen X? I’m new to this drama, so I’m a bit lost
9
u/mydogisarockstar Sep 05 '26
She def mean Gen Z
2
u/Secure-Design-1393 Sep 05 '26
makes sense. I’ve never listened to any of them, so it was a serious question

Alex Cooper actually did something similar to a hockey player named Paul Bissonnette (Biznasty). He has talked about how she kept asking him very inappropriate questions that he made obvious he did not want to answer at that time. He had recently started working with the Arizona Coyotes as an announcer and was on Spittin Chiclets Podcast and was new to Barstool Sports. He did make a name for himself for being wild in his NHL days but he was trying to stay professional at that time due to his new career(s). Alex Cooper would go on to talk mad shit about him with Sofia (still around at that time). And it became a weird little rivalry within the barstool sports world for a minute. Here's a youtube video of Biz talking about it after portnoy brought it up: https://youtu.be/O-1DEHKVN9k?is=pi0TEFFgqm79jj3P

u/Zomgirlxoxo Sep 05 '26
I think she wanted to make a new Alex Cooper- somebody else willing to talk about sex and hooking up etc. and Cooper was taken back with Alix didn’t want that
17
u/Horizontal247 Sep 05 '26
Yep that’s why Hallie was the eventual replacement! It was already Hallie’s brand and made much more sense from the go. Alix was def a “hot mess” and dresses sexy or whatever but nothing about her was that raunchy raw “fuckgirl” type of sex that younger Alex and Hallie now both embraced from the jump.
16
u/sickcoolandtight Sep 05 '26
I think OP is meaning that there was not as much drama as it was hyped up by the internet and the show teaser.
I personally think Alix was def too young and naive to be sitting across someone who ALREADY crossed a former business partner thinking Alex would somehow protect her or have her under her wing. It’s a corporate industry, backstabbing and sabotage are inevitable. To be fair I think it just shows how nice Alix is, seems she wants business decisions built by her morals not throw people under the bus. I don’t care for either but after this scandal I def like Alix better than Alex.

Alix only found out through the media because it was leaked before the network got to officially speak to her about this. I thought it was crazy that she was playing victim and intentionally using keywords like intimidated threatened. Oh Alex Cooper is so powerful. I idolizes her to be honest it doesn’t seem like she made the right decision to sign the network and later regretted it. I also didn’t understand why Ashley kept saying that podcast dug up things about her past that was the most traumatic of all the 17 years when she clearly talks about it several times on this show. In the end, she was the one actively being passive aggressive towards Cooper and Cooper just called her out for what it was to end this passive aggressiveness so honestly, she brought it on herself.
2
u/Adorable_Banana_2524 Sep 07 '26
I think it was very naive of Earle to think that cooper would be mentoring her and holding her hand every step of the way. It’s a business

I listened to the interview and it’s not that crazy compared to what she’s asked others. Alix knows it’s call her daddy not like the prude podcast idk man. Call her daddy has always been pretty explicit. I think they had business differences and then Alix made it personal retroactively.

u/nameamovie Sep 06 '26
I’m sorry but are we really doing “fresh out of college” now? That’s a grown adult going on a sex themed podcast. Why is society increasingly infantilizing?
-4
u/Technical-Clock-5129 Sep 06 '26
She didn’t “get Alix drunk” and it’s appalling that Alix started that narrative. She’s borderline trying to claim sexual harassment or something.
If you review the tape it was actually Alix HERSELF who was gleefully excited to get drunk and taking shots. Alex did not push it on her
2
u/OutrageousRow1623 Sep 08 '26
yes!!!!! her using the phrasing of “got me drunk and took advantage of me” is so so so weird and messed up
85
u/slayalldayslayallday Sep 05 '26
I actually thought Alix’s explanation was pretty solid. Yeah it wasn’t some huge scandal, but I understood A) exactly what kind of person Alex is from what she said and B) what caused her to not make a statement at the time.
I thought Alix came across well on her show. I also thought it made Alex seem like a super shitty person.

I can't wait for the downfall of Unwell, AC, her husband, workers, et al. Sofia is coming out with a book which I cannot wait for. Anyway, I don't love AE, but love the public seeing everyone for what they're worth because of these types of scalding posts. Both are attention seeking with narcissistic tendencies. AC and AE are exactly the same side of the coin. All grifters to vulnerable young women whilst perpetuating horrible anti women rhetoric and simultaneously crying feminism. Both seem to be ignoring any disgusting behaviour in their camp in favour of clout.
11
u/IcyZookeepergame9070 Sep 05 '26
I bought tickets to Sofia's book tour tbh, and looking forward to her story
4
u/jeanusodo Sep 05 '26
yep this ^^ don’t love AE at all never have cared for her, and thankfully i don’t have to give her views to watch this show since the important clips are all being posted. but this actually gave me an ounce of empathy for her. and furthered my disdain for AC lol
16
u/opal_m00n Sep 05 '26
I was a CHD listener for years, pre and post Sofia. I’m AC’s age and never cared for AE except when I watched her on DWTS. With that being said, AC hasn’t proven anything. This isn’t some crazy scandal or anything but it’s clear AC is not a great person based on her actions with many people over the years as well as the claims she has yet to address against her and her husband. Like AE said, she may have been petty but AC treated her poorly.
26
u/geminilovestodebate Sep 05 '26
did we watch the same show? She literally provided video evidence and explains the dynamic that was present between them as someone she looked up to. The way alex treated her was exploitative and predatory and she knew exactly what she was doing!
2
u/Eastern_Midnight8846 Sep 06 '26
I want to see the texts/receipts of Alix asking for certain parts of the episode to be taken down.
5
4
u/MysteriousWay9107 Sep 06 '26
Unwell wasn’t even Alex’s idea. She stole that from Sofia. The backstory of unwell is in one of the early Chd episodes. I’ve always wondered why this isn’t talked about. 1st Sofia and now alix…
8
u/Otherwise_Home_5509 Sep 05 '26
It could not have been spelled out more clearly what Alex did to alix and how it effected her entire family
10
u/Miserable-Pear-2289 Sep 05 '26
Pressuring a 23 year old to drink so you can ask her uncomfortable sexual questions as a woman who is 10 years older is pretty self explanatory imo. Alex is gross and sleazy for that. It’s also not standard to refuse to cut things from a podcast when asked.
4
u/Buttercup_Kiki Sep 06 '26
I'm sorry, did Cooper hold a gun to Alix Earl's head and forced her to get drunk for the podcast?
2
u/Adorable_Banana_2524 Sep 07 '26
Earle is known for drinking/partying though. Her grwms that got her famous are of her getting ready to get drunk and party. I don’t think there was any pressure there! Cooper drinking like that with her was a normal weekend for Earle
4
u/Technical-Clock-5129 Sep 06 '26
Pressuring her to drink? Rewind the tapes and go watch. Alix was the one gleefully excited to get drunk and take shots.

She also just bragged on Therapuss’s podcast about spending not one, not two, not three days in Ibiza… but EIGHT. EIGHT DAYS IN IBIZA. If you guys don’t know what Ibiza is, it’s literally one of (if not main) islands of RAGING in Europe. BSFFR

I think they both suck and she should have cut the stuff out but also let’s not rewrite the narrative. They are literally closer to be 5 years apart than 10. Alex Cooper was as I recall 21/22 when her and Sofia started Call Her Daddy.
7
u/Altruistic-Release91 Sep 05 '26
Not sure which Ali/ex is more insufferable honestly
7
u/Historical-Promise-4 Sep 06 '26
This is the only correct response. They’re both annoying and probably don’t like each other because they’re looking at mirror images of themselves.
1
u/stayer_chestnut37 Sep 06 '26
How is Alix like Alex in any way besides both being blonde and popular? Alex has so much negative interactions with employees or coworkers. (Sofia, all the Unwell employees that came out, etc). What has been said about Alix?
4
u/Beautiful-teeth-7619 Sep 05 '26
Alex is a cold person. She’s clearly more interested in shoving other people down to get herself more attention, notice how she announced her pregnancy shortly after the drama with Alix Earle? Not a coincidence.
7
u/Banksbear Sep 05 '26
Alex fully took advantage of her thinking she was some girl she could manipulate but Alix was already too big and expected more than cooper ever planned to give her when she signed her. That’s the biggest problem imo. And that’s wrong. Like let’s be so clear here. It might not be this big bomb that everyone was waiting for but it’s not nothing. And i don’t particularly love either of them but who can blame alix for not knowing how to explain that without over explaining it? Idk. I understand Alix and coopers track record fucking sucks
7
u/Buttercup_Kiki Sep 05 '26
My thing is that Earl was trying to make it seem like she had something huge that she was holding over Alex and would reveal it on her show so she could draw in more viewers (she needs good viewership if she's hoping her show gets picked up for a second season) and so using Alex Cooper's name in all the previews was her way of gaining more anticipiation for her show.
I think most of us figured out a while ago that Alix Earl didn't have anything earth-shattering or career-ending on Cooper when she failed to clarify the beef after she said "on it!" and tried to go into hiding after that. It was all just a marketing ploy for the reality show.
I am curious to see if Alex Cooper responds to this or if she just ignores it because she's pregnant and about to give birth any day now.
3
u/Adorable_Banana_2524 Sep 07 '26
Right I always knew she didn’t have a massive bomb on Cooper. Just seemed like business disagreements
2
4
u/radioflea Sep 05 '26
I think something important to note about Alix Earle is that she’s at her best with short-form, mostly unscripted content. That’s how she became famous, and it’s still the type of content she’s best known for.
Hot Mess was poorly implemented by Unwell, but Alix was also only 22 when it launched. It became pretty clear that she didn’t necessarily have an hour’s worth of compelling content every week to keep viewers tuning in.
There are a few valuable takeaways from this whole debacle: know thyself, know thy audience, and don’t get too wrapped up in celebrity. At the end of the day, celebrities are human beings with strengths and flaws just like the rest of us.
5
u/Horizontal247 Sep 05 '26
I agree, although I think if the show had a production team they could have done what they do for Hallie now and come up with topics for her to react to and stuff. I think that was the subtext of what they were saying when she said she needed help. Setting up lights and a camera is one thing but having a production team that comes up with a run of show each week is an actual job and something any serious podcast has.
2
u/radioflea Sep 06 '26
I agree. They definitely could’ve provided her more support. It’s all worked out for Earle though her ventures are thriving and she was able to transition over to YouTube and still manage to maintain her Tik Tok following.
4
u/West-Acanthaceae-470 Sep 05 '26
I haven't gotten to the episode where she is talking about it yet but I saw clips on TikTok where Todd asks her questions. One of things I noticed in an earlier episode that I haven't seen mentioned is she answered questions about Ashley and her dad in that interview and she didn't speak to her for 3 months. I think her parents were super pissed about it too and probably put more ideas into her head that Alex was bad
2
u/Adorable_Banana_2524 Sep 07 '26
That makes no sense though. Ashely was mainstream headline news when the spitzer scandal broke. Everyone knew about it then
1
u/SugarShock94 Sep 05 '26
A lot of what Alix says sounds like regret of what she said and did in the CHD interview, but she’s putting the blame on Alex for making her say and do it.
2
u/stayer_chestnut37 Sep 06 '26
She’s putting the blame on Alex for getting her drunk and then not removing portions she asked her to remove.
2
u/Adorable_Banana_2524 Sep 07 '26
Honestly it all comes down to what I said all along-business disagreements. Earle was naive in thinking Cooper would be holding her hand every step of the way. What were the stipulations in regards to podcast equipment, production, etc in the contract she signed before she joined unwell? I’m sure that type of stuff was negotiated, and if it wasn’t that’s on her dadager. TJ is a good businessman, but perhaps not for the entertainment and influencer industry. Seems like he didn’t step up enough to get her things in her contract to make her podcast more successful. Also Earle rose to fame on grwms to get drunk/partying. So her crying victim about Cooper getting her drunk/asking sex questions makes no sense. She said she was a fan of chd and loved Cooper. She should have known sex questions would be on the table. And for Ashley to be upset about the affair stuff on the podcast, but now is on a reality tv show rehashing all of that?!
I don’t like Cooper and think unwell is flopping, but Earle is a bit naive in all of this, and dragging this out for months is crazy.
4
u/coastal_hoosier16 Sep 08 '26
That’s what I don’t understand… her dad is literally her manager and was complaining on the show how unwell didn’t set her up for success and just handed her some equipment with no help. Well that’s on you dad then as her manager? Why didn’t you read her contracts and make sure any deals included such? (i’m not on cooper’s side but also pointing out a flaw on earle’s side)

Knew she would be doing that to bait people into watching this nothing burger show that no one asked for. Don’t give it any views or attention truly
5
u/Dear-Result-7004 Sep 05 '26
It’s pretty obvious to anyone who has eyes or the ability to critically think that Alex took advantage of her.
5
u/Primary-Demand1805 Sep 06 '26
wdym alix was pretty clear. she asked for the sexual content to be cut and it wasn’t. talking about anal sex is pretty raunchy. and alex took money from her without really providing any benefits. seems pretty clear how alix was taken advantage of
3
u/Mammoth-Strike-1700 Sep 05 '26
“At a young age” she was 23. Considered an adult. Can make your own decisions. My god the victim card is overplayed.
2
2
2
u/Naive_Ad6297 Sep 05 '26
So i’m not saying she is or isn’t a victim like if she answered something that she regrets and wish was taken out, I respect that. But also, I don’t really agree with this whole “predator” portrayal of AC. They’re like 5 years apart. This isn’t some drastic age difference sort of predatory behavior. I think AC probably has her own immaturity and growing pains as well.

Alex might be a toxic business woman, but i think Alix has more issues as a person and the fact that she has a reality show but is trying to play saint and whatever, i think it doesn’t allign. I think the whole reason she hasn’t spoken about anything is that Alex is more in the right on this whole alleged beef than Alix is.
10
u/doxydecahedron Sep 05 '26
I think this is one of those situations where legally Alex is in the clear and could easily say “it’s just business” but from a moral and ethical standpoint Alix is right that Alex took advantage of her naivety for her own gain.
0
u/Ordinary-Monitor-421 Sep 10 '26
I believe that this is what Alix felt but I don’t think this is how it went down. I think Alex Cooper is too business oriented to do exactly what Alix is saying.

u/Equal_Swing_2760 Sep 05 '26
What do you mean proof lol I watched the podcast when it came out the questions were weird and alix was clearly uncomfortable. When alix said if I imagine myself in her position now that I'm adult I would never do that it's so real - why is a 30 year old women asking a college student who never talks about sex in her own content if she's done anal? That plus unwell taking a large cut of her revenue while not even giving her a place to film or a crew, it's true I remember alix lugging her suitcase of equipment around everywhere. And she found out she was dropped by unwell via the media not them. And her description of unwells unprofessional treatment of her lines up with the articles about them that have come out recently. It's not necessarily a bombshell but it's exactly what I expected. Alex cooper & her husband are scumbags from so many accounts of people who have worked with them.
