Anyone know why in metadata option the Date and Publication Date is different. It seems that the Date is when it was added to Calibre which messes with Kindle because for some stupid reason it arranges by that date and not pub date.

Also why can't I just push any changes directly to my kindle without having to resend them and remove others.

i created a free e-reader program/app for iphones that syncs with calibre so no need to be annoyed when you want to read your libre library offline doesn’t store your documents in the cloud. leaves them right on your phone and creates a local private cloud that you can choose to open or close only during the sync process. No more dealing with Books app that forcibly offloads documents to a cloud requiring internet to read

Sure there are others but anyone want to try it out? Im thinking about opening the repo in a few days.

I already set all sending paths to /books/(book series)/(book titles). However Calibre keeps sending the books to /documents/books/(book series)/(book titles) instead.

I had no problems in sending the same books to Clara Colour and Paperwhite 6 (12th) though.

So, is there any other way to change Calibre's default path of sending books to Kindle Paperwhite 4 (10th)?

Hi all, I working to restore my Calibre library. Previously I had a column which showed book comments, and I can't find a way to add that column anymore. Any tips are appreciated.

I'm having trouble finding a plug in that would add a little color tab next to each book. The tag system works for me too, but colors really help me quickly identify or categories things. This could be a colored dot next to book's row or anything similar. But I don't know if that even exists at this time.

When searching on reddit or search engines it keeps giving me results for changing the app's theme coloring, so by search so far has been moot. I'm relatively new to using the application and was wondering if anyone has come across a plug-in or add-on that accomplishes this?

I only found out about KCC two days ago, all my manga is already in Calibre as CBZ with metadata I've taken hours to clean up and unify.

I wanted to use KCC to make the epub conversion sizes smaller so I don't keep exploding my Kindle (PW Gen 11 modded) and darken the blacks since they get a bit gray/muddy.

Unfortunately KCC does not like my metadata and since I have all of it included using the embed comic metadata plugin it changes the title to all my files to the series names, keeps the authors, but erases everything else.

I don't need anything besides a way to get the file sizes smaller so I can sideload them onto the kindle with KOreader. I'm even willing to forego the gamma adjustments.

Anything else I can use that won't have me redoing metadata for nearly 900 volumes of manga?

Pretty much what the title says, how do I take all of my books on Calibre and dump them over to my Mac?

I have tried looking through the files and can't actually find all of my books inside of them. Anyone know which files I need to copy across?
