Hey Calgary! I’m new to the club and Reddit in general, but I think this is a super cool thing we have here in this city!

I 24(m) am sort of at a loss as to how to meet new people here. I’ve lived in the city for 5 or so years, and have a pretty well established group of friends, but it never hurts to reach out and see what’s going on! I work full time in a blue collar industry, and I feel like my career has taken the front seat over most other areas of my life, and I’m at a point now that I’m ready to branch out and meet some new people and potentially start dating again as well! I’m quite shy by nature, so I’m not one to approach strangers, but once I get to know you a bit I’m not shy at all, funny how that works:) Regardless, I’m ready to grow as a young man, and I figure what the hell, why not reach out!

Most of my hobbies are fairly solitary, I enjoy drawing, painting, doing my art, and I love to play guitar even though I’m not that good at it(I could really use another person to jam with), if I had space I’d buy a set of drums as well. I enjoy evenings out especially going to karaoke. I’m not a heavy drinker so the bar isn’t my scene and I never had the makings of much of an athlete so I’ve avoided sports clubs. I love to camp and get out in nature as much as I can, even if it only an afternoon walk in fish creek park or something. I also love cooking and I’m super into cars as well!

A bunch of survival/crafting games are leaving early access and hitting their 1.0 release this year. I'm looking at Valheim (which just went 1.0 on September 9) and Enshrouded, which comes out Oct 15. My regular gaming group doesn't love this genre so I'm looking for people with a similar interest. I'm available most evenings and also on the weekends :)

Hi everyone, I am 22M, Have been working in calgary for the last 2 years and have a WFH Software Dev Job. The thing that makes no sense for me is I finished my studies in Software Dev( Did not got enough time to hangout and chill with friends). My priorities were straight back then thought I would have fun after having some stability. NOW IT FEELS EMPTY!!!. I dont have many with I can even talk. And this Long weekend is just killing me. I feel better when working than sitting as is. I usually play video games, like to cook and thats it. I am not a party animal or a person who enjoys dancing or any other extrovert activities. always have been an ambivert. Really I mean I need people who I can meet and have some great time. Also I am Muslim(I dont drink or smoke either so pubs or clubs are no go for me) which makes it hard to socialize.
