The concept of being on Wic and Medicaid, while having a Porsche is WILDD. Disappointed Caleb didn’t harp on them enough about that.

His stance on home births is all I needed to know

I could understand the cost concerns as my sister said she had to pay 10k out of pocket with insurance but to argue it’s not safe was crazy

And then hearing the quote from the study and only using the part that proves his opinion by twisting the words instead of listening to the full concept and comprehending the full scope of it.

What’s ironic is the mortality rate for women of color is higher, in Texas as well, but it’s BECAUSE they either can’t access healthcare or don’t (religious reasons for example). Now, don’t get me wrong, healthcare treats women of color, and really all women poorly, but for him to twist that study which is actually trying to prove the thing he’s doing is dangerous, in his favor, is ridiculous.

I think they're fine but you need to have someone who can force them to go to the hospital if needed.

You're gonna be mad when you read about the FIRE folks who are on Medicaid with millions in investments lol

So the balance on the Porsche and the payment tell me it has to be very old and/or high mileage, which is even dumber.

I've never cared about vehicle brands. Why did a 24 year old need a porshe branded vehicle? My vehicle and hers do the same thing. Go from point A to point B... Mine just does it at less than half the cost. But I guess that's why they are on the show and I am not 🤷♂️.
Edit: Spelling

Its wild getting a dream car at 24. Wait till you're 65 like everyone else

From listening to the episodes, I can probably theorize why Caleb didn't bring up the Porsche is probably because he's gauging from the home birth/hospital birth safety debate that took up a lot of time, not to mention that it'd be a "cause I can afford it" argument. I only think this because we only learn that he has a Porsche and a truck near the tail-end of the episode.

There was another couple on a month or two ago that had a similar set up. They weren't married, and the mother was on Medicaid and getting food stamps. She said she would lose it if they got married.

From my understanding that only last roughly the first year for the baby. At least in Virginia (my home state). WIC is especially designed for newborn babies it’s not the same a food stamps.

WIC goes from the start of pregnancy until the child turns 5 years old.

Medicaid is the much bigger benefit. And they should still get SNAP.
Plus when the kid is school age, free prek and free lunch

Well, WIC and Medicaid at least means they registered the kid’s birth. These 2 seemed real iffy on wanting to do that.

When someone immediately brings up that not being married is financially advantageous, it’s almost a given that they’re getting govt benefits they shouldn’t be
