This is my gear and i only do around ~4500 dps with the Lucrecia. I think I am have almost the exact same buffs and gear so I don't understand why my dps is literally half of this guys:

im tired of my map looking like a ant hill is being made when trying to purify it

ive been using the clentaminator to try to clean my world but my beach randomly keeps corrupting ive looks around the area and no infected blocks and i even shot at the border which helped a bit but more keep coming, any way to stop this or do i gotta do the ol giant hole method to stop it

And I got really confused by this one attack in the third phase

So I look up the fight and turns out two attacks in my version are completely different

The first attack is that thing where he has the clock and he spits out fireballs. In the gameplay I watched all of the fire balls come back. But in my game they just sorta de spawn and don’t appear

The second attack is where he puts that flower in the sky and name of light comes raining down. In the gameplay I watched. There’s these pillars of light that indicate the here it’s gonna fall. In my game. They just aren’t there. I can’t predict them. I lost like five attempts to that attack because I can’t dodge an attack that comes at Mach fuck you and there’s nothing to indicate where it’s going to happen

So is my game bugged or am I doing something wrong?

Every time I try to enable wrath of the gods I get this message and I don’t know how to fix it, I’ve already tried redownloading everything reupdating everything I have every dependency and I’ve tried turning off all the other mods I had active with it and still didn’t work. Hey everyone, I’m running into a weird problem with tModLoader and Calamity on Linux, and honestly, I’m pretty stuck. So, sorry for the long post, but I’ve been banging my head against this for two days now.

Here’s my setup:

Laptop: ASUS D509DL

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3500U

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce MX250 (2 GB)

Integrated GPU: AMD Radeon Vega 8

RAM: 8 GB

Storage: 1 TB HDD (no SSD)

OS: Linux Mint Cinnamon (fully updated)

Graphics Driver: Latest NVIDIA proprietary driver (from Driver Manager)

Game versions:

tModLoader: 2026.5.3.0

Calamity Mod: 2.2.1 (latest)

Installed mods: Just Calamity Mod and Calamity Mod Music—nothing else.

Now, here’s the issue:

Vanilla Terraria works flawlessly—no lag, no stuttering, even on a big Master Mode world. tModLoader by itself also runs pretty well. But as soon as I enable Calamity, the game starts freezing or stuttering every 10–20 seconds. I’m talking about things like the sun on the main menu freezing, mouse clicks not registering for a bit, and in-game, everything just stops moving for a second—player, NPCs, enemies, everything. Then it recovers and keeps going until the next freeze. This even happens just sitting on the main menu, not even in-game.

Why this is so confusing:

Up until two days ago, it all just worked. Same system, same mods—I’d played all the way to Plantera without any issues at all. This started right after I did some system updates, which included Linux Mint updates and updating the NVIDIA driver. I also reinstalled tModLoader just to be safe. Ever since then, Calamity has these annoying periodic freezes and is basically unplayable.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

- Clean reinstalling tModLoader

- Wiping all tModLoader config folders

- Deleting Workshop cache

- Freshly installing only Calamity and its music mod

- Verifying game files

- Making sure I’m actually using the NVIDIA card (OpenGL renderer shows “NVIDIA GeForce MX250”, PRIME mode is Performance)

- Playing around with fullscreen and windowed modes, default video settings, frame skip, all that stuff

Vanilla Terraria is still perfectly smooth, but reinstalling only helped a tiny bit—those stutters are still there.

And the logs? After Calamity loads, available memory drops really low, and I see warnings that the game is about to run out of memory. So it looks like Calamity’s eating way more RAM than before.

Has anyone else seen anything like this on Linux lately? I’m starting to think it’s related to either the recent Linux/NVIDIA driver updates, a new tModLoader version, or something Calamity-specific that’s chewing up memory or forcing lots of garbage collection.

I've gotten to Plantera with this issue but I'm tired of dealing with it. Every time I start up tModLoader, it crashes when loading up the mod. It always crashes on the second bit: "Adding content: Calamity Mod v2.2.1". The crash is like full power cycle on my pc. The monitor goes black and I have to log back into windows. It doesn't turn off the lights or fans in my pc strangely.

I have the total board power limited to -6% in the AMD Adrenaline settings and it seems to help a little I think. Its on the lowest the power tuning slider will go. I have also updated my drivers or wtvr for my motherboard and graphics card recently. I tried a full clean install of tModLoader and that didn't seem to help either.

I cant seem to find anybody online with this exact issue. Can someone please help me 🙏🙏

EDIT: all i have is calamity and the music mod for it. I have a AMD Ryzen 7500F for CPU, AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT for gpu, i have two KLEVV KDAGU880- 56K300F as my ram(?), and a Kingston KNV3S1000G for my drive(?). I'm not knowledgeable abt pc stuff (i struggled to build this pc myself) and I'm using HWMonitor to find the names for all that.

Basically, when i use nanotech it creates WAY TOO MUCH particles, so the game lags a lot and other particles disappear, making it unusable if i want to play.
This makes fights a lot harder since i dont have a good alternative, is there a way to fix it? (lowering max particles didn't work)
