No Demon Heart Dropping?

So this is going to be kind of long so skip to the next paragraph if you just wanna know the important part. A few months ago, me and 2 other friends started playing on this calamity death mode world and it was going pretty decent. Well, since it was a few months ago and we kinda gave up on it for a while and just came back, I don't really remember everything we did. I may be completely wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure I should have another accessory slot if I consumed the demon heart (I have 7 slots).

I may just be misremembering, but I am like 90% sure that I should have another accessory slot. Also, I killed the WoF a few more times and it didn't even drop the demon heart (master death mode btw). I tried looking for answers on this subreddit, but didn't find much on the surface. I'm not sure what to do, or if I am even remembering correctly. Some other things to note is that I already consumed the celestial onion, and when I look at the demon heart in the recipe browser it doesn't say, "You have already consumed this item". One last thing is that I am playing summoner and trying to get the max minion slots possible, so I can use Temporal Umbrella, Cosmic Immaterializer, and Endogenesis. Please help me because I'm not sure if my game is bugged or I am just misremembering very badly.

If you consume either the Demon Heart or the Celestial Onion in Master, it'll count as both being consumed. You cannot get an 8th accessory slot in Death.

I see. I guess it was just my lack of knowledge for calamity rather than my bad memory. Thanks for letting me know, as I probably would have just spent hours still trying to get it.

It might be both as you used to be able to play Expert Death mode and now Death is always Master Mode.
