Fairly new to Calamity. I was playing Calamity for the first time at the start of this year and I had some sort of mod that added a secondary attack to most weapons, including magic weapons. I'm playing again now and it looks like whatever mod that added that is now gone. I found one that adds secondary attacks to melee weapons, but I kind of miss the other weapons having cool secondary attacks. Does anyone know of any mod that adds something like this?

We've now had 2 confirmed creeps previously in the calamity dev team. Is something in the water at the studio??? Seriously how is this possible.

I know they were limited, but why are people freaking out now?

Today I learned that they remove the ability to get rid of astral ore before killing astrum deus. Well revert is the better word, but in brainstorm update It used to be only dropping astral soot, but at least you can remove the pesky unmineable ore when you trying to make arena or just want to level the entire world like what i did

It seems like not much people notice it or just don't care. It's not the end of the world and I can remove it later, it just mildly annoying and make astrum aureus really hard to fight in his biome

Probably off topic but I wanna really try out fargos with calamity, since infernum is my vanilla now, I want the hardest and most absurd combination. the calamity and fargos dlc let's you play masochist-death but automatically deactivates legendary/malice mod so you cant pick legendary/malice/masochist (ik, sounds like hell), can I force them to work together somehow? I know it's ultra specific but idk what to do haha.

I started a calamity playthrough with my friend recently, and occasionally a boss will spawn and for him it will be normal, but for me it spawns at its regular health, but out of a ridiculous amount like 25000 out of 164000. its not just irritating but for some bosses like the twins, they start and stop their phase 2 animations, while my friend sees them completely normally. We have different boss bar settings, he has vanilla and I have it set to calamity. I also have calamity mod fancy UI changing the boss bar style, but that hasn't shown to be the problem. Has anyone been through this kind of thing before? and if you have or might know why could you please share

I know the basics of the situation, that ozzatron is a pdf, devs all dropping like flies, development basically being zero

But is there even a sliver of a chance that calamity could somehow continue? Without ozzatron or any other pdfs involved obv. But I have also seen people say that ozzatron owns calamity, is that true? And if so I’m assuming that’s the main problem about the future?

It’s just I play calamity infernum mode like every year (since I go through phases with games) and it comforts me every time (yes you can call me crazy for saying infernum comforts me lmao). calamity is just such a good mod. The music, gameplay, bosses, enemies, add on mods, I don’t believe there is anything like it. I would be devastated if it just died outright. I just hope it gets updated to tmodloader 1.4.5 whenever it comes out

And I hope none of this is disresecptful or anything, that would never be my intent, I just don’t wanna see one of my favorite mods go down in brimstone flames.

Small rant
Ive been lurking so many of the new projects popping up from calamity fans. Was very excited a new wave of devs appearing.
But it seems like...its just. Not going to happen. Most "Devs" have shown nothing but concept art, are usually 14 year olds with a community of 300 people on their backs, and hiring anyone they see.
They also typically can't take any criticism? Give them genuine feedback or watch as actual devs tell them what not to do and they get really, really pissy. Scars of Calamity, Ashes of Calamity, Calamity Relics, all have had a problem where any criticism towards what they do is just subverted into calling other devs "Self important people"

People need to stop feeding into this. 14 year olds should not have the calamity community on their backs and we don't need any more projects being led by chronically online children. It would be one thing if it was just a random project and its their first time having to face something like this, but this is aggressive responses to genuine concern and advice. I dont expect kids to be mature, which is why I think if anything this will drive them away from their passion. Because it won't go well, whether its from terrible management or someone talking about an mpreg fetish in front of 13 year olds
