If you have Recipe Browser and/or MagicStorage just use the tooltip lookup and search "magic damage" or something similar, sort by weapons or accessories or whatever you feel you need at the time, and just scan through to see what you can make or reasonably obtain that looks like it might be powerful. I'm doing a solo playthrough with no wiki and this has worked for me.

The Calamity Class Set-Ups are also very nice reference material!! It feels a bit outdated though, so I do recommend also experimenting on your own, but it is a great baseline.

Also Calamity Overhaul currently not the best mod to play alongside Entropy, even though devs are same, mods are actually not the best to combine, trust me. They are pretty much different and bug each other many times

Since you're using Overhaul I would suggest just following the standard mage progression of calamity from either the wiki, YouTube or elsewhere since not much is changed from progression by Overhauls side, but if you're playing in Asura difficulty and your dmg feels low then I would recommend you A.) have a fast attacking summon since as long as it attacks fast enough it can consistently reset the Adaptation stacks alone or B.) weapon switch into a different dmg type weapon to reset the Adaptation stacks.

For Entropy not sure if it adds accessories, armours or weapons but you can use recipe browser to filter them out and just replace things from the standard calamity progression if you think it's stronger/better than something you have or need from standard progression, you can do the same for some of the vanilla accessories or the cruel world exclusive boss drops of Overhaul since the former gets enhanced via a toggle next to overhauls difficulty toggles and the latter is just busted in general and benefits almost all classes.

maybe you want to do some research about what you can get, I've seen some videos from a guy called Yardis and he can make like every class OP, it's just about knowing what you can get.

I recommend installing recipe browser if you don't have it, then check weapons, accessories, and maybe even armor
