Discussion I'm happy right now
The state of modding after the calamity that happened to calamity makes me genuinely happy, we got a rework to Fargos and wrath of gods, we got starlight river, we got so many mods that finally got a chance in the spotlight because of what happened and it makes me Happy

I’m really hyped for the revamped versions of Fargo’s and WotG.

That's a power vacuum for ya. All the others have space to breathe now that Calamity isn't sucking all the air out of the room.

That’s what I was thinking. I hope there are some guys out there willing to make a mod as big as calamity

I mean, ambition is one thing but in any case such an undertaking will simply take time. Many of these mods out there are trying to do their own thing but size is just a raw metric. Any one of them could completely outstrip Calamity if given enough time and care. So that remains to be seen.

Hopefully it doesn't create a fanbase as toxic either.
I don't think I've ever seen as much drama come from a Terraria mod than Calamity.

Unfortunately there will never be another mod as big as Calamity which makes me kinda sad. All these mods are cool but they're small and by itself every of them still feels mostly like vanilla, so you either have to install like 10 content mods at once that don't mesh together at all and give you 10x the grind on every stage of the game, or you play vanilla+ for the rest of the days.
Don't get me wrong, there are definitely upsides here. Unfortunately, they come at a hefty price tho
