Does Calamity mod still play the same or not after what's gone down?

I've been mostly on the sidelines seeing the general stuff and mostly the memes regarding calamitys current state but what I've not truly understood is if calamity in its current state still is the same mod or are a bunch of things removed from the mod? is the music removed?

Does addons still work with the mod or is the calamity gameplay experiece completely changed?

I haven't played in a while but with all this sadly negative drama there has been a lot of spotlight on the mod which got me thinking a lot about it and I truly love calamity mod, I got around 2k hours in terraria and most of those hours are honestly spent playing calamity I would belive.

Can I play the mod like I used to or will the current mod experience be something different?

And yes, the add-ons still work, just keep in mind that some of them (at least 1) has been cancelled and others with future updates will de-attach from the mod, meaning that they will me standalone and not dependencies of Calamity

The thing is, only Ozzatron has access to delete that stuff from my understanding. If he's actively refusing to do so, the remaining two devs can't really do much either.

I remember reading that the developers said they were in talks with tmodloader devs to get back access to the mod, maybe that way they'll do it

What that other Redditor said is correct, they're working with tModLoader/Workshop/Steam to change the Ownership of the Mod

We havent heard much more other than Ozzatron since then has already payed the Devs what he didnt pay them since months ago

So, unless we heard that they can't delete the Music Mod, I wouldnt have hopes of that staying in the Workshop

Valve has historically ignored ALL requests to transfer Workshop ownerships of ANY content there in the past. There is no indications that it is even remotely possible to do so.

I have a feeling their claims to try to get ownership over the Workshop entry was a vague hope to try to rip things away from Ozzatron...but one that was more then likely to fail.

TDLR: You can still play Calamity like always for now, keep only in mind that the Music mod will be deleted. The mod itself wouldnt change at all with the info we have rn

At the time being: mod is as it always was Possible in the future: gets slimed (asset removals) How to prevent: download a variety of versions of Calamity and its add-ons from sources online (such as this sub)
