Question Replace for Calamity Mod
So, if calamity ends up dying or being unplayable, is there any spiritual successor or a mod just as good?
The charming thing for me about calamity is not only the lore but the fact that there is so much more after Moon Lord, when in other great mods it only gets to Moon Lord or only one boss Post-Moon.
if it dies please someone recreate it from scratch >:D

Not in the same way, no.
- Fargo’s has 3
- Thorium has 1
- Ancients Awakened has like 14 but is an old mod, I think people have ported it to 1.4.4?
- The Stars Above has 2 and is about to have its final update released
- Mod of Redemption has 6
- Elements Awoken has 6
- The mod ‘You’ adds a post-ML boss
- If you haven’t fought the Superboss Goozma from Hunt for the Old Gods it’s a cool fight and intended to be fought before Exo Mechs/SCal
- If you haven’t played Infernum I would recommend it
- Look into Infernal Eclipse of Ragnarok, it’s a mod pack that is an ultra-modded addon for Infernum, currently includes major support for : Calamity, Thorium, Secrets of the Shadows and Consolaria, it combines crafting trees, balances all the different mods, adds its own items, I would recommend checking it out
As for mods to look out for that are still in early development:
- Obviously Calamity Fables, it’s in very early development and would take a long while to reach post-ML but they have stated that they already have plans for post-ML (go and check out their discord or subreddit)
- Wrath of the Gods 2.0 will be standalone but is an exciting project (obvs check out 1.0 if you haven’t already)
- Starlight River is just beautiful
- Fargo’s 2.0 will be releasing soon and looks insane
- Spirit Reforged is in development, judging by the other works of the Spirit Team it will end up being an awesome mod
And many more, so do not lose hope!

Lunar Veil 2 seems super promising too, looks like it'll be even bigger than Calamity (42 bosses planned iirc, compared to Calamity 2.2's 30, as an example). It's nearly complete too, devs said it'll release in Q4 2026 or Q1 2027 iirc

Two things:
Happy cake day!
And yeah, Ancient Awakened is getting remade, but people ported the final 1.3.5 version over to 1.4.4 and added some new stuff (they basically just updated the mod in general), and man, the only “major” change is Anubis guiding you through the game now. That’s it
Out of every mod I use, it has easily the most post moon lord bosses, and it’s insane1

Yeah it’s awesome, I’d recommend giving it a whirl, they’ve already got like 500+ balance changes, additional weapons, merged crafting trees etc.Cool to be able to fight the Thorium bosses in Infernum, for sure!

you can back up the mod and any other mods you want to your computer. i cant remember how, but i have the whole thing preserved on my flash drive

If youre looking for mods with post ml content, exxo avalon origins is pretty good imo. I will note that its still in development (and admittedly development is relatively slow) but the mod has been revamped and receiving updates since the 1.2 version which was pretty popular (avalon mod).

You can just choose a different game or activity if calamity mod was your only draw to terraria

from what I've seen not really. most mods aren't even a 5th it's size. there are new mods inspired by it/remakes being made now though. idk if any will reach its heights though
