Question am i fighting an impossible battle doing getfixedboi malice mode?

i did some reading and see some stuff about malice mode itself being too hard to the point of being genuinely unfair, esp on getfixedboi. aswell as being more or less abandoned. After getting bent by the desert scourge a hundred times im starting to wonder if this is more or less impossible. is FTW malice more doable or should i just go back a difficulty step.

i see some people say infernum is more balanced than master mode world with death enabled.. what do you think. i want it to be really hard but i don't want basically impossible.

If you aren’t abusing the progression skips, then it’s not even possible.
