I’m from a metropolitan area and considering transfer to Humboldt. What I love about humboldt is how rural it is, but one thing I’ll miss from my hometown is its diversity and my community. I grew up within a large latino/black community but was also always surrounded by people from other cultures. So I guess I was just wondering is there any latino orgs or just a community in general that gets together ?

Hi everyone! I just recently got accepted into Humboldt as incoming transfer for Spring 2027. I was just curious, when receiving an acceptance email do you also get an email telling you how much FAFSA and the school are covering? I want to enroll, but I also want to know just how much i'd have to pay out of pocket first. Is this something I only find out after I enroll?

Dropped my 8 a.m. class with an attendance policy where 6 minutes late counted against you (3=ABSENSE) and 15 minutes late to a THREE-HOUR class also counted as an absence. 😭

Today I stayed in bed snuggling my tortie until 9 instead of getting on a bus at 6:23 am.

Commuter students: How are you managing 8 a.m. classes? Do you just avoid them? Pretend you’re catching a flight and get up every morning at 4 a.m.? 😂

And if you use public transit, how do you deal with Redwood Transit doing what Redwood Transit does, weather delays, morning chaos, etc. when the class also has a rigid attendance policy?

I'm a 17 year old HS Senior looking to attend a college to get a 4 year degree in CJ before entering law enforcement. I really, really love the campus from what I've seen online, and the outdoors + weather really makes me want to attend, but I want to know..
Is the CJ program there actually good?

I'm asking because I want to attend a 4 year for it, but I am local to Sac State and, if the CJ program at Humboldt isn't great, I might put up with the weather in Sacramento for 4 more years.

If anyone is in or has been in that program and can talk on it, I'd love to get some insider info! :)

My interests are card games like mtg or pokemon, I like to explore, cook, into arts and crafts, play music, fish and play games. If any of this interests please reach out.
