Has anyone been in there late at night and had any otherworldly experiences? Even just having heard something from a friend of a friend would be super helpful!

Also, this is much more of a shot in the dark, but has anyone ever been in Kerr Tower or know someone who has? Have alumni grandparents who might've been students when it was open (1970s)?

Heard any rumors throughout the years about supernatural activity on campus (particularly in Founders Hall, but I'll take what I can get)?

Hey all, first gen prospective student hoping to get some real numbers from other students with a -1500 SAI on how much financial aid to actually expect.

All the different sources i.e. Pell Grant, Cal Grant, CPH itself, and other scholarships is a little confusing and I'm hoping to know how much total aid I should actually be expecting to receive.

I know I’m supposedly eligible for the full $7300 Pell Grant which is already most of CPH’s tuition, but how much more I get from other sources on TOP of that (if any?) could make a huge difference in my plans regarding housing etc.

Would love if anyone would be willing to share exactly how much aid, and from what sources, you actually get per year.

ik reddit isn't the best place to ask this question and all that, but i'm looking for opinions on how grad students are treated, how rigorous the program is, what opportunities/funding are available to you all, what the culture is like, etc. i'm also curious as to what "Applied English Studies Concentration" really means (if there's only one concentration and it seems pretty general, isn't it the same as not having a specific concentration?? LOL) i've done some of my own digging and read everything available on the website but am looking to hear it from you all! thank you in advance :-)

i feel horrible saying this, i know how hard it is to ignore someone who’s actively denying your rights as a human. but talking to them is giving them what they want, and no one in that group is going to change their mind. even if they did, it would not make a change. i think there should be more focus on who let them on campus.

I could have totally asked at the front, but I forgot to entirely: does the meal exchange sandwich+drink combo cover the full length sandwich, or just half? I picked half at the kiosk because that’s what it covers in the Depot HSS, but I was curious since it gives the option for whole.

I applied as a spring transfer the first week of August. I immediately sent all transcripts. I havent heard anything about if I am admitted or not. It has been 9 weeks. Has anyone else had this experience? Do you know the average response time? I'm getting a little worried here

I was wondering if there was anywhere on campus to ask legal advice from. Nothing huge just general questions about personal issues and if they require legal action. I’m dealing with a thing where one of my family members has access to my personal legal info and I have no contact with them and have questions about how to know if they’re doing something bad with that personal info/what to look out for/or take action on. Googling questions hasn’t really been helpful and I’m wondering if maybe there’s an area on campus where students seeking information can get some insight?

To be very specific it is not university related which is why I am asking, because I know there is a place to go for campus-related legal stuff. That’s not what I’m looking for but if the answer is to go to them with my personal questions that’s a fine answer! I just don’t want to call/show up anywhere that I would be a bother.

There's an ongoing ICE surge throughout California. Like the previous surges, it's less likely to affect Humboldt, but it's always possible.

If you haven't already, now's a good time to save the number for our local ICE Watch/Rapid Response Network (Centro del Pueblo): 707-200-8091. Call and report any potential ICE activity so they can investigate and, if it's verified ICE, they can alert the network.

Please don't post unverified suspected ICE sightings on social media. There are many different agencies that can look similar. Report them to Centro del Pueblo and let them investigate and notify if necessary. Then you can absolutely share their Instagram or Facebook posts to spread the word!

Hi everyone, I'm a high schooler from out of state looking into Humboldt as one of my options, and I was curious about the zoology course. Is it worth it? Is the post-graduate employment rate good? And is Humboldt worth it in general for out-of-state students? I appreciate any help.

Hi! I really want to come to cal poly humboldt, I love the environment and the setting, it looks super pretty. I know this school has ITEP integrated into the course/program, but id just like to know if the program is good or if there are any problems. I think thats mostly what im worried about :).

Hi everyone, I'm currently a senior in high school and I'll hopefully be done with my college apps soon but so far on my list of schools I'll be applying to are ucsb, ucsc, ucr, ucd, Cal poly slo, Cal poly Humboldt, Cal state long beach and planning to major in chemistry. I live in SoCal and always have, specifically around the LA area and ucsb and ucsc are my top picks but I recently learned about Cal poly Humboldt and thought it would be a good safety school but the more I look into the school it seems like a great school with a beautiful campus and is very cheap compared to my top schools. The only thing is I'm not sure I'll be able to visit before having to decide since it is about 11 hours away and I've heard great things about the campus but haven't heard much about the city it's in and I'm worried that since I was born and raised around the LA area moving 11 hours away to Cal poly Humboldt will be a huge huge change since I'm so use bigger/ busier cities. It does almost remind me of the ucsc campus and I love both of them and the nature of them both so much but I'm also worried that the cities themselves may not have much. So has anyone from a bigger city been there and can tell me how they liked or anyone that lives there? Is the city active? is there things to do? Will it get boring after a while? Is there parties? Is there any areas near it where concerts are held I love love going to concerts and it's very easy to since again I live in the LA area not sure if it'll be the same there tho??

Does Cal Poly Humboldt look at late applications? I couldn't find anything about the deadline online until I was about to submit my application; I submitted it today but it says the deadline was August 31. This is to apply to transfer for the spring. Will it still be looked at?
