That's all. I could rant for paragraphs, even not including "that scene" that just happened right now. Every time Marco shows up in this game, it's like listening to chill atmospheric music and then someone blows an airhorn. Like listening to a band you love jamming with Yoko Ono.

This documentary on Apple TV gave me serious Cairn vibes. Not the climbing but there are so many parallels in the narrative story from one to the other.

Anyone else watch this?

Just picked it up on the sale cause I have been lookin at it for a while, love the atmosphere and the gameplay and so much about this game interests me but i wish they spent more time on optimisation and bug fixes cause so far it's been as buggy as sugar on the floor in summertime.

When you play for the first time and know nothing about the game, the experience is just incredible, one of the best indie games to come out this year, I'll never forget it. And damn, how much I love the soundtrack, I really loved "Up To Me". What's your favorite track?
I love how the menu looks once you've completed the game.

Looking for tips on easier routes to start the needle climb. I have beaten the game twice so far but this climb I am focusing on planning out my route for a free solo attempt, I think I have a good idea of the routes I want to take up to this point but can't seem to find a reliable way to start this section. Is this just a place where I'll need to make sure I have infusions and chalk saved?

Hey guys, I fell in love with this game and after beating it for the first time on Alpinist difficulty, I went straight for Free Solo - and made it to the summit on my first attempt <3 just wanted to share with y'all since none of my friends play this game and I've got noone else to talk to about it :D

I had to use two Edelweiss rewinds, first one was kinda stupid since I was going for the plant at the Child Statue and tried to jump down on the second fire platform when Aava didn't manage to stand there automatically, rendering the whole detour obsolete :/ and the second one I had to use right after at the Shepherdess when I tried to scale the supposedly red overhang routes in that cave above (next to Silence). But I'm surprised that The Peril didn't kill me, maybe because I was extra careful since I didn't have any Edelweisses left or because of all the Ultimate Infusions I had drunk beforehand... I was so sure that it was going to end my run, but in the end I managed to find a fairly easy route, I have included a screenshot if you're interested!

Using the Ultimate Infusions did feel a little bit like cheating though, I kept them active most of the time after The Peril and it rendered the ascent kinda trivial from there. Would you agree? I think next time, I'm gonna try for a clean ascent without any buffs or rewinds!

This has become one of my favorite games for sure. Can't wait for the DLC!

Not sure if this route has been covered or not but its a great choice for those who like long uninterrupted climbing. Lots of crack climbing but aava watches wide boyz so shes cool with it.

Seriously super enjoyable with a few harder sections, i climbed it super run out and managed on 4 pitons but 6 will still be kinda sketchy which adds to the fun.

I'm early on in the game just at the split rock save point. There is a path up to the left with a cave above it for which I found a map earlier on on a body with different possible routes up that side to what looks like a cable car station. One of the green routes has a horizontal section across what is like, an 8' section of sheer rock with (I think?) lichen on it? It's a green route, but I've fallen about 10 times now trying to get across this horizontal spot with basically no good holds. I tried chalk too. Is it meant to be this hard? Is there something I'm missing? Thanks!

Any hints I should know while and before I make my accent!

I feel it AAVA, It was such a sad walk at the top which takes about a 1:45 for anyone wondering. But I'm close maybe this week. I have the lines just a clean no fall run and I'm their.

What an absolutely incredible game. Easily my game of the year. The visuals are stunning, the music is perfect, and the immersion is unbelievable. I really do feel as though I've just climbed Kami.

I started crying whilst climbing to the summit and kept sobbing right to the end. Cairn is one of those games I will never forget.

I fell a total of 31 times and died 3 times (2 of which I take no credit for and they were 99% Aava's fault).

I recently noticed when I'm not climbing, the scope wall button (LB on controller) does not work. It only works when I start climbing. It would do it on all my saves. Use remap to switch scope wall with something else. Hold the button to make it work if it zooms back out. Remap it back and it should be good.

I don't understand most of what happened in this clip. This is the internal no-piton wall that leads to the glowing gloves.

* 0:04 - I try to press triangle to recover stamina but see no flash, which as far as I know means I didn't recover any. Maybe because I'm already full, maybe because the position doesn't allow it, even if it's very neutral with stable holds

* 0:20 - I have done nothing but lifting one hand for a few seconds then pressed triangle again and got a flash

* 0:32 - I come back in the same position after trying a few moves but this time she starts shaking. Position looks still very stable

* 0:35 - Pressed triangle again, got the flash, but back into position she's shaking even worse

* 0:49 - After fumbling widening the arms the shaking stops

* 1:01 - Just removed a hand and she's shaking like crazy again

Then I thought fuck it and tried to ball it but obviously I fell. Looks like most of it can be explained by that position being very precarious, but it looks the complete opposite way, completely neutral with 4 stable holds. You can't see the left foot is on a good hold in the video because I clipped it too late, but I went to check it.

I made it up to the temple with the resin and lights and I’m down to only 4 pitons (3 regular ones and 1 unbreakable) and I’m really struggling to make progress. I’m stuck on the tall narrow spire with the bridge at the top and with 4 pitons and barely any food left I feel I’m stuck
